My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Montego Bay, Jamaica for 3 nights (4 days) and loved every minute of it. We had an ocean view room on building 2, fourth floor (room 2418) and the room was perfect. We were able to see the entertainment area from our balcony at nights and our house keeper (Felicia) cleaned our room on the third day of our stay and we were pleasantly surprised when we got back and saw everything clean and sparkling. She did a great job. I must also commend the restaurant staff (especially the executive chef - Mr. Gordon) as the food was really good every single day and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were taken care of. I mentioned Mr. Gordon because he was working in all capacities, helping out at the tables, serving stations and other food areas on the property. My husband and I wondered where he got the energy because he was there every day of our stay, working. It was evident though that the hotel did not have its full complement of staff because some times we ended up in long lines at the food stations/ bars because only a couple of employees would be there at any given time. The wait time in these lines were from about 10 minutes minimum to a maximum of 45 minutes. I do not blame the employees because they were moving at really fast speeds and tried to get everyone served quickly but honestly they need additional staff if they are to handle large guests at any one time. I must also commend the guys at the water activity area (Damion and the others) and the wonderful lady at the towel dispensary area (forgive me, I cannot remember her name). They were very pleasant and accommodating and made our experience even better because of how nice they were. I do wish that the hotel had a wider variety of food options available though. There were limited options at the buffet each breakfast and dinner time and due to this, we opted to not have lunch at all at the buffet and instead ate at the grilles (which served jerk chicken or pork and sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs, fish, etc.) during lunch times. We hope that more options will be available next time, especially for kids. My daughter was looking forward to pizza, spaghetti and meatballs or nuggets which were available at our last stay a few years ago. Read less
