This was our second time staying here and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. My husband and I stayed here over the long weekend at the end of July/beginning of August. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. We had an early flight into Vancouver and they were able to accommodate a very early check-in for us. The views from the north side of the hotel are amazing: mountains, harbor and Stanley Park. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and impeccably clean. We were there during a heatwave and our room was always nice and cool and fresh. We had some long hot days where we didn’t feel like going out for dinner, and the room service was amazing. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We don’t even look at other hotels when we are planning trips to Vancouver anymore. Can’t wait to come back again! We spent 1 night in this hotel. The room and the service are impeccable. The location is perfect. Good breakfast. We had issue with a lost suitcase and Carla, the Concierge, has been super helpful and dedicated even after we left the hotel. Thanks to her one more time. I recommend this hotel.

Overall a fine hotel, starting to feel a bit dated compared to when it first opened. The drywall in the bathroom was clearly chipped and breaking off. But the decor and the location are great food at the hotel and a very enjoyable time at the pool. I had a challenging time using benefits from my Accor loyalty account. Had to inquire repeatedly about my status benefits and was very hard to redeem my Accor benefits at checkout. I had ti push the front desk to call Accor directly to resolve an issue, vs front desk suggesting that I forego redeeming 20k points because Of an issue on their end. It was sorted out in the end but I would have appreciated more proactive problem solving. I made a point of booking this hotel but will try others on the future. Read less

We just returned home from a 2 night stay at this hotel. Over the years we have stayed at many high end hotels and this is one of the best from our experience. The customer service here was the best we have had. Everyone is always greeting us, asking how our stay is going, can they be of assistance etc. We were in a harbour view room and the view was fantastic. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Turn down service was also fantastic. We went to the lounge each evening, the drinks, food, bartenders and servers were fantastic. Had room service our first evening there as we had just returned from a long walk in the heat wave and too exhausted to move from our lovely air conditioned room. The burger was one of the best we ever had and the Caesar salad had a nice light dressing - fantastic. When the food was delivered, the nice lady delivering was very prompt in pointed out that tip was already included. I appreciated that as we have stayed at other hotels were this was not mentioned and we ended up tipping twice. The location is fantastic, right across the street from Canada Place. From our room we could watch cruise ships and seaplanes come and go. The room was also nice and quiet, so we both slept well. The hotel is also across the street from the Coal Harbour seawall and you can walk to shops, restaurants or Stanley Park easily. Read less

The Management of this Hotel has a lot to learn how to treat guests, specially the most obnoxious , pompous little man Mr Akash Gaikward Most of the staff is incompetent and some like one of the door man and one waitress in the Lobby stick out like a sore thumb for offering acceptable service !! The Building is nice , but Chinese style wich is ok but far from a luxury building We booked 2 connecting rooms " guaranteed "on a Virtuoso plan from June 27 to July 2 2022 From the start it was nightmare ! Arrived early afternoon to be told the rooms were not ready , asked how long ? we were told about an hour but they will let us know , so we stored our bags and went out for long walk than came back and had lunch in the Lobby , even after lunch and 3 hours after check in no room ! So we complained and al they told us " Soon " finally after going to the desk several times we got one of the two rooms and one hour later the second one ! Along the way everybody apologizes like a robot ! In the room we got a call from Akash apologizing and when I told him that this not right we lost a whole afternoon in Vancouver He had the nerve to tell me they do not guarantee connecting rooms even when I told him that I have written confirmation of the guarantee he practically called me a liar so I ended the conversation with him on that note . Than we had a call from a lady introduced her self as Karon or Carol not sure, as the Manager . Actually she was Quite nice and lessened to what I had to say and as usual apologized but she sounded sincere . And she ask how could she make it up to us , I relied that I leave it up to her , so she suggested that she could comp one night free for us for our trouble which I accepted . I checked my bill almost every day but the free night never came off , but waited Under Virtuoso the 4th night is free also breakfast was free but each day they try to put it on the bill $ 200+ so each day I made them take it off , checked no free night for the 4th night , finally they corrected the bill and took off the 4th night I asked the desk to call a Taxi for the Morning for 8 am she even asked me what time my flight was to be sure , but it turs out they ordered taxi for 7.30 and the driver had the clock running from when he arrived , we had to pay triple fair The check out was the worst No Comp on the bill so i mentioned that they need to take off one night the man apologized went to the office and came back that only one room is comped , i told him that is not what I was told it was a night not a room Comp , he said i understand and asked to let him go back to try to fix it AND THAN CAME AKASH AGAIN did not want to hear Karen or Carol was not there and can not be reached one room or nothing ! so I told him do what you want , so he did deducted one room one night which was at the lowest rate of the stay ! That is AKASH! How to win friends and influence people ! Ironically we met 3 other influential people from Cayman staying at the hotel they all felt like I did about the Hotel ! Well no more Fairmount for us or hopefully anyone I talk to ! PS. almost forgot sometimes we had black water coming from the taps no one came to look or fix it ! i figured the last night will be the Comp for one night , but on checking out NO COMP. I asked the clerk Read less
