Flamingo

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

This resort has been rode hard and put away wet. Where to begin. No elevator security, so anyone can get to the rooms. The walls look like they have had dirty hands and luggage banged off them all up and down the halls. The furnace was broke in ny room. Went it did blow air it smelled like cigarette smoke. The safe in the closet was a joke. Not… Read more

The walls look like they have had dirty hands and luggage banged off them all up and down the halls. The furnace was broke in ny room. Went it did blow air it smelled like cigarette smoke. The safe in the closet was a joke. Not bolted down and it only weighs 10lbs. There was a TV in the bathroom mirror that didn't work. And that mirror was half hanging on the wall. Half the lights were burned out in the room. The couch was extremely dated and beat up. This was my first experience at a Caesars Resort and my last. I'll go back to Bellagio, Pallazzo, Venetian or the Cosmo again. I travel to Vegas at least yearly. Read less

It's not the best hotel. Interior of the room and hallway carpet needs to be redone. There are fold ridges in hallway carpet which can be a safety hazards. Bed skirt has holes in it. The chaise lounge has stains on it. The TV is tilted. It's hard to ask for things from the hotel housekeeper because they don't speak english. Room service was… Read more

The checkin was easy and the staff was helpful. Close to everything and the room was small but was clean and met my needs. Many things to do and see checkout was quick and easy. The animal garden was cool and the shops were great. Will stay again soon

Doubt the room was even cleaned. Vomit stain on the side of the couch, several lights not working, no remote for bathroom tv or broken, hookers lash on counter…how was this the “fab” room. Hotel casino smells like cigarettes everywhere and the hidden resort fee is more than double the actual price of the room. Also the wifi sucked. What pays for… Read more

There is no doubt that this hotel a loooooon time ago may have been a nice property but it is now just a dirty hotel all together. Black Mold in the bathroom. Holes in the wall patch up with wall paper. Lights in the room not working. Despite our daily request to have someone come in to make the beds an change towels etc, no one came in four days. We ended up hunting down the service people for towels , toilet paper and other things the room required. At the top floors the noise level is the same as having a window open (there are no windows) and it went on for hours into the early morning. The concierge desk dudettes were worthless when asking for information and had no clue where anything was. I guess they wanted to get paid just for simple information. This is a big - FORGET ABOUT IT going forward. Never again. Run as fast as you can from this place. Read less
