The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why. The accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Red for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

I have NEVER stayed in a hotel which wouldn't at least try to accommodate their guests with such a simple request. Read less

When we entered there were just stairs, no ramp and no one at the door to help with luggage. So we managed the best we could dragging luggage over stairs. At check-in we were told our room would not be cleaned unless we requested cleaning. So we resorted to hunting down the housekeepers to ask for toilet paper, shampoo, etc. The area we stayed in was ugly and depressing. The hallway and our room were a sea of varying shades of brown and beige that felt like a trip to the 1973 Twilight Zone. The bath tub was actually dangerous. The protective shield to eliminate water spray to the floor was attached near the shower head and covered half the tub, there was no way to test the water before you got in the tub. It was very difficult to get in and out of the tub. Both of us tripped getting into it. My friend ended up in the hospital. When we made our reservation we requested a refrigerator, it wasn't there when we arrived so we called guest services. They sent an elderly woman to deliver it on a cart where it stood in the corner of our room for our entire stay. Of all the employees, this task was assigned to an elderly woman? On the day my friend was sent to the hospital, the staff recognized urgency of the situation, promptly called 911 and kept in touch with my friend constantly which we are sincerely grateful for. With the exception of one female bartender in the Sports Bar, the staff was exceptional! Very friendly, kind and couldn't do enough for you. It was shocking to see how few people tipped the dealers at the tables. The onsite restaurants except for the fast food place are very good which was surprising! Read less

We took my dad there for his birthday. We were charge the resort fee though they advertised no resort fee. My dad's luggage was stolen out of the room. They said there was nothing they can do. My dad is ADA and had a fall. The hotel managers did not even call to check on him. I find out at check out the ramp by the main lobby was broken. I of course was in shock to find out that with great difficulty one person helped my dad down the stairs with his walker at check in. But to find out four days later the ramp is still not working is unacceptable. He had to go back to the opposite of the hotel to exit the building. They tried by an exit near the pool but the staffed said they had no idea what they were talking about and that there was no exit near the vallet they can use. So upset at the experience and lack of care. Just sad that his 87th birthday was not a good experience. When I went to the bell check about it, they said it was broken. I said out loud broken that is an issue and he was like no big deal. the guy oustide had the same issue and was not like always something as he told he I could not wait for my family to get into the vehicle after picking up my father on the other side, I had keep driving around. Always wondered what it would be like to stay downtown at the Golden Nugget so my daughter and I booked a room. The resort is beautiful and unique. I discovered it is way bigger than what I thought. It has a Chick-fil-A , Starbucks, Claim Jumper, Italian restaurant called Grotto, a steakhouse and a seafood 🦞 restaurant where you can eat by this huge floor to ceiling fish tank. So fun. The pool is beautiful with a waterfall, slide, huge aquarium with sharks you can swim next to and seating wall to wall for everyone to have a spot. Which is a big deal because the resorts on the strip are removing most of their seating in leu of beds and cabanas that you pay hundreds of dollar for. It was so fun to be able to safely walk out under the lit canopy and enjoy the Fremont experience and walk back safely to your room. If you want to stay downtown, this is your spot. Read less

Good experience, coupled with a clean suite, solid amenities, and free parking. Definitely one of the better places to play blackjack, especially at high limits. Will be a finalist for my next upcoming stay in Vegas.
