The hotel

There’s nothing like shooting hoops against a skyscraper-swept backdrop. It’s also the view enjoyed while playing tennis or take a morning rooftop jog at Hilton Atlanta. A stroll from CNN Center, World of Coca-Cola, and Georgia Aquarium, it’s not all about fitness here. You could head to the Southern Elements restaurant, offering traditional Southern Cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or find yourself in the Trader Vic’s, featuring hand-carved tikis, palm-thatched ceilings, and south pacific décor offering an international menu and tropical cocktails, including the Peachtree Punch, a signature cocktail of Trader Vic’s Atlanta. Or just kick back with Krispy Kreme® doughnuts and Starbucks® at Marketplace. The star here is Nickolai’s Roof, a penthouse restaurant whose menu’s drizzled with fine dining buzzwords like ‘veloute’, ‘confit’ and ‘truffle demi glace’.

Late Check In Denied. Left Hanging by Hilton. This was a $600 prepaid and booked 4 night stay at the Hilton Atlanta hotel. The room was booked and paid for 160 days prior to our travel date. We are flying across the county from Washington to Atlanta GA, a place we have never been to. Our flight arrival time was changed to a late arrival (6 days prior to our travel date) and now landing at 11:00 pm. Called Hilton Atlanta to update. The hotel manager would not accept the late check in at midnight, even though I had already paid the total bill. Can't believe it. If I had not called about the flight change, we would of been dropped off in downtown Atlanta, at midnight, without a place to stay. It is now 5 days prior to our travel and I have to find a place to stay, Looks like all the hotel rates have increased approximately 30%. I called Marriott and explained the situation and they have no issue with late check in's, They also gave us a room discount. I will never stay at a Hilton. A big YES for Marriott :). Read less

reasonable stay. Probably not up to Hilton Standards. Two restaurants in the hotel. BOTH of them are dark on Sun and Mon (the days I stayed there). I have never found hotel restaurants to be closed at all, let alone both closed for 2 days running

Surprisingly there were no USB outlets at all in the room. Suggest they update the lamps and clock to include at least 2 USB outlets. I stayed over a weekend to attend a conference. I was surprised to find a massive line at the elevator bank after I checked in (4:00). There are 8 elevators but only about half seem to actually be in service. Wait times during peak hours can be very long. I waited 15 minutes trying to get an elevator from the 15 floor around 6:30PM. Hilton Atlant isn't offering regular housekeeping. This is supposedly due to COVID precautions. However, none of the hotel staff wear masks. So they are TOO worried about COVID, are they? They area around the hotel has very little in the way of restaurant despite being in a hotel zone with several other large hotels. Expect to make reservations if you want to dine nearby. The hotel is connected to a building with a small food court and group of shops. Unfortunately nearly all of the businesses have closed. And those that seem to be in operation were closed on Sunday. No doubt due to the complete lack of foot traffic in the area. Read less

Sending a thank you to the bellmen. I had a lot of convention stuff to bring up from the parking deck, and received excellent assistance with both loading in and loading out. Wasn't thrilled with the slo-oo-ow elevators -- seriously, get them all working at the same time. The biggest pleasant surprise was the lobby restaurant. Don't remember the name, but it had "Southern" in it. Most of the bartenders were good, though one guy seemed to be a bit lost in space and time. The bar food was better than expected, and I enjoyed the shrimp and grits -- shock! Read less

Valet parking $55 per night. Total rip off. Rooms Old, dirty, tub stained, bathroom door rusted, towels like card board wall are spotted. The Hanoi Food, Deli sandwich was a joke. One slice of meat stale roll. No value! Way over priced. Stay away to many other good hotels in Atlanta then to have to book a third world property. No… Read more

Hilton was better than this so-called Hilton. Brought to the attention of the front desk. I hr + house no show. Worst Hilton I have stayed in. Read less
