The hotel

As synonymous with Boston as the eponymous tea party and cream pie, Hilton Boston Park Plaza has been a landmark on the city’s hotel circuit since it opened 90 years ago. Reinterpreted for the 21st century traveller with a $100 million mega-makeover, it now adds contemporary décor and mod-cons to its timeless elegance. And you’re in good company, with all bar two US Presidents staying here since it opened. It’s easy to see why, with a top-drawer location near Boston Common. Of course, they wouldn’t all have experienced today’s attractions, which include a mammoth 20,000 SF Health Club, the nightly cocktail hour (well 5 hours) in the Library, and the New England inspired dining of its Off the Common restaurant, with Boston’s signature lobster rolls a menu favourite.

We stayed 1 night as attending Bruins game in TD Garden. We left the car at the valet parking and took a Uber to the game which was only a short ride. Good room and bedding. The bathroom was rather on the small side but did have a bath tub. Hotel nicely situated. Very good breakfast a la carte but there is also a Starbucks in the building. Would… Read more

Excellent location, great service, clean and extremely neat rooms and lobby and amazing staff! Special shout out to Heather in the lounge and Heidy and Moises at reception. Wickedly small queen was perfect! Overlooked interior of other wings but was comfy and quiet. Very accommodating and outgoing staff.

Horrible hotel with even worse staff. Check in was horrible not the standard we expected for a Hilton hotel. I had an issue with my safe and called for it to be looked at. When security arrived at my door they banged on my door making me extremely uncomfortable. Not only was he rude and unprofessional he left my room with a strong marijuana odor.

At 11:00 pm. Finally given a room at 12:15 am. Room was a shoe box but that an insult to shoe-boxes. Twin size bed. Couldn’t actually sit on the toilet straight on as it was placed right against the bath so had to sit on it at 45 degree angle. Worst fluorescent lighting Drawers in dresser don’t close as all broken. No AC or heat. This too can be yours for the price of $273 per night PLUS resort fee PLUS taxes. Oh and no wifi. Read less
