Great location in Broadway district, close to subway, theatres, restaurants and cafes and places of interest. Nice breakfast to go package. Restaurant does not cater to hotel guests with hotel voucher. No coffee/tea/fridge in rooms unfortunately. Fridge can be rented for $30/night.

I love the Hotel Edison, and have been staying there often on my NYC visits since 2009. Perfectly located close to Broadway theatres and restaurants, this lovely art deco hotel has a great atmosphere and comfortable rooms. The staff are helpful and accommodating, and I like that they offer two options for breakfast that extend to the afternoon, unlike other hotels where breakfast ends at 9:30. It is a short walk away to various subway stations and the Port Authority. I feel safe and taken care of at the Edison. Read less

We have been staying at the Hotel Edison since 2002, and it's better than ever. The location is perfect for us -- in the middle of the Theater District. It is an historic, Deco-era hotel. Yes, it's old, but I don't go to New York to sit in the hotel room, and it has huge character. I recommend spending the money if you can for a Signature room… Read more

Yes, it's old, but I don't go to New York to sit in the hotel room, and it has huge character. I recommend spending the money if you can for a Signature room rather than the Classic ones (not renovated). The latter is OK -- when we had less money, we loved the bargain! -- but the Signature Queen or King rooms are far more comfortable. We'll be back in the fall -- if not sooner. Love this place! I went mid week and the place felt like a circus. I requested a king room, received a queen. Upon checkout they asked me why I didn't bring it to their attention. I found that a bit insulting. It was clearly in my reservation and the coordinator made a choice. The price was nearly double of my last visit. Not sure I'd stay here again.

All the staff were very welcoming and the room was clean and tidy upon arrival. We loved the decor of the hotel and the rooms. Very comfortable beds, only downside for us was the noise from outside of the constant sirens and car horns. The windows were sealed shut but not enough to prevent noise coming through, even with ear plugs in. Perfect… Read more
