The hotel

There are few better properties from where to enjoy the sights of Chicago and if you're hoping to shop 'til you drop or check out Lake Michigan's beaches, the Intercontinental allows you to do so in style. Thanks to a fabulous location right in the heart of Chicago's Magnificent Mile, take a visit to the Navy Pier, John Hancock Tower and the Shedd Aquarium which are all within walking distance from your front door. A quick explore of the hotel uncovers a couple of restaurants for all-day dining and there's no better place to enjoy a succulent piece of prime beef other than Michael Jordan's Steakhouse. More sustenance can be found in the ENO bar which has a plentiful selection of wines and cheese, although the Michael Jordan bar is always popular around nightcap time. Finally, if you're thinking up excuses to have a cheeky massage in the Windy City then the Intercontinental's spa* will no doubt be able to twist your arm although, a dip in the indoor pool or a few moments in the sauna also offer equally relaxing alternatives.

Really good stay! We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was very clean, the space was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. We really liked the refrigerator next to the minibar. As avid travelers, we love having a fridge for the items we buy for our stay. On the downside, there wasn’t much space for clothes in the room. There was no drawer space, just a wardrobe that was barely big enough for my wife and I. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom was pretty weak. We enjoyed our time here and will book again. Great location and helpful house keeping. Breakfast was all similar for 3 days. Room was nice but need to be renovated. Better serviced mind should be trained for staff at reception. Don't feel the vibe of INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL STANDARD.

Front desk staff were efficient, polite, and personable. The room was clean and well maintained. Literally my only critique is that part of the shower handle fell off and I had to push it back into place. This hotel is excellent and I look forward to staying here again.

THE BEST BED EVER. LOVE IT. 4 STAR BECAUSE THE SHOWER AND CURTAINS FALL APART LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS SOME MAINTENANCE. ALSO BREAKFAST IN THIS PLACE WAS OUTRAGEOUS AND WE ONLY HAD THE BUFFET.

Good Location downtown But hotel need to be renovated, noisy lobby due to Michael Jordan Bar restaurant, No lobby lounge, room with carpet, really old style. It has no flavor it's like a empty box I really don't like this kind of hotel, They really need to up-grade and do renovation and have soundproof windows.
