All of the staff were terrific! During our week's stay every time time we entered the hotel .we were greeted with a smile and a hello. The room was clean and immaculate. Check-In was kind and accommodating but I absolutely loved Check-out. Gene-Allen would be the reason I come back to the property! He was very attentive and personable. He made us laugh and was an absolute delight to speak with. The hotel itself is nice - a little dated but was a comfortable stay!

The front desk took the usual credit card deposit EXCEPT upon checkout she charge my card $800+ for the stay. My husband and I stayed at the Kimpton for 3 nights in July 2022. I booked and paid for the room in full through Expedia. The front desk took the usual credit card deposit EXCEPT upon checkout she charge my card $800+ for the stay. When I questioned the front desk lady she got all cranky and after 5 min of huffy and puffy she tried to correct her mistake. NEVER did she even apologize she made me feel like it was my fault she couldn't do her job. Finally she called another employee Taylor who was also unable to credit my visa back. Long story short 5 days later the credit finally came through. The worst part is we live in Canada so by the time they straightened out the credit 5 days later it cost us an additional $79 in rate changes between debits and credits. The entire ordeal we were calm and never complained (It never helps any situation) We left the US with over $1000 US on our card with nothing to show the credit was coming in good faith we trusted the hotel to make it right, I have reached out to the hotel explaining the issue and now i'm on ignore. Its dissapointing when you spend that much money on a hotel for this type of treatment 100% they are at fault and NEVER should have put the charge through or at very least train their staff on how to credit people for incorrect charges. The room was ok they offer no services to the room unless you call and ask for clean towels or garbage removal. They do not make beds which I didn't mind except the sheets are all flat no fitted so be prepared to strip and make your bed each day. I wouldn't recommend :( !! Read less

The hotel is lovely and quaint.It is also very well located close to the Pike market. Bring sneakers or comfy walking shoes everything is uphill!!! We had free wine during happy hour. The room is a bit on the smaller size but so lovely and well appointed. Very comfy bed. Only 2 drawbacks were that the hotel restaurant was closed all weekend due to the July 4th holiday so no room service was available. There was free coffee in the lobby but the milk was spoiled and there was no where to go and purchase fresh as everything was closed. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend. Read less
