MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

In a city of fabulous excess where big is always beautiful, the 5,000-room MGM Grand takes the XXL biscuit. The world’s second largest hotel features a 6.5-acre Grand Pool Complex containing four swimming pools, three whirlpools, Vegas’ longest lazy river, and waterfalls. The Wet Republic Ultra Pool holds seasonal pool parties too. And that’s just for starters, as the MGM Grand hosts huge sporting events, top shows such as Ka by Cirque du Soleil, Virtual Reality and famous performers such as David Copperfield. On top of that, Hakkasan regularly hosts DJs Calvin Harris and Tiesto. Peckish after all that? Then take your pick from a mouth-watering range of restaurants that satisfy pretty much any mood and taste you can imagine.

The prices of everything is getting way out of control, they’re hoping to make up for the losses from COVID on your pocket! The place is filthy, casino staff are rude, the whole place is just a big ZERO!! There is NOTHING to make you want to be there!

Great hotel with easy access to monorail, room rates were very competitive. Several restaurants were closed though, that was kind of a bummer. Rooms were very clean, staff was good. Check in was slow, get and use their app.

Building is old, but it is pretty well maintained. Can't expect trendy new/high tech, but it has all that you need for the stay in Las Vegas. Great location, unless you are mostly hanging out in middle of the strip. Easy access to the airport and highway without going through the strip traffic.

Room was poorly cleaned, calcium buildup in bathroom, chair with large liquid stains, exposed electrical hose behind bedheadboard, and super loud window cleaning crew. Not the best experience for the hotel name

Our stay at the MGM grand was like staying in a luxury resort. They have everything you need, you don't even need to leave the property although it's hard to resist to take the short walk to the other MGM grand properties.
