Pros...close to Macy's and other shopping Only two blocks from many subway lines at herold sq and Penn station Cons - if you actually want to go to sleep before 2am do not stay on the 16th floor as the roof top bar blasts music until 2am Elevators situation - it can be a lengthy wait in the evening as the roof top bar holds two of the 4 elevators

Location was convenient to everything. Property was nicely maintained with a very unique and cool vibe. Great music playing in common spaces and elevators. Staff was very helpful, and there were good food options available on property. Will stay at the Moxy again!

I almost changed my reservation from Moxy Times Square to another hotel when I read some of the reviews (rooms to small etc). I am SO GLAD I DIDN’T. From the moment we got here (we are still here, we leave tomorrow) it’s been fantastic. I’m 59 and my son is 25 and this couldn’t have been more perfect for the both of us. Staff is wonderful, Letty and Nico at check in really took care of our needs, and all of the guys working the elevators are so friendly. Everyone’s been so nice!! The location of Moxy is excellent. I love our room, there is a spot for everything and I feel they anticipated our every need in advance. I really like having the sink outside of the toilet/shower area. That is a brilliant idea, so convenient! Also a big plus, at 59 I really appreciate having the magnified makeup mirror and good bright lighting throughout the entire room, AND on dimmers, another brilliant idea! I can’t tell you how many hotels I’ve been to that have horrible lighting. It’s depressing and makes getting ready not fun or easy. The hotel’s vibe is very cool without trying to hard. My son loves the rooftop bar, I really love the other bar/restaurant on the 2nd floor, it’s huge like a giant living room divided up into different kinds of Niches for whatever you are looking to do. There are work areas, a foosball table, big leather lounge seating, comfy chairs and tables, and of course a gorgeous copper top bar. I didn’t try a lot of the food because we’ve been trying different restaurants throughout the city, but what I did have was excellent. Whoever designed the Moxy did an outstanding job! Their attention to detail from the guest rooms and throughout the entire hotel is very apparent. I also think the value of this hotel for NYC is very reasonable, 4 nights 5 days and I’m out of here at $1200 including fees and taxes. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Moxy for being a big part of our fantastic vacation!!! Read less

The hotel itself has a hip modern vibe with great decor. The staff is very pleasant, professional and helpful. The rooms are clean, creatively laid out to make the most of very tight quarters. It does a good job in carving out a unique niche in the NYC hotel market. It was a total hit with my adolescent traveling companions. I would certainly stay there again. Read less
