They appeared to maybe just be reopening certain amenities but the staff was friendly and helpful and the bar was open, which I found a major perk. We had spent the night at a different hotel and came to the hotel around 11am to drop bags off and to our surprise they happily got us into both rooms at this time. The rooms are in the process of being renovated. One was and one wasn't but but were comfortable and mostly clean. Small details like crumbs and stains on the wall were visible but the overall feeling feb clean and sanitized. The Sheraton bed is one of my favorites and this hotel did not disappoint. Would happily stay here again on my next Chicago trip. Read less

Great spot. Close to all the attractions right on the river. Friendly staff. Valet parking and self park in garage. Beautiful hotel overall and very walkable to the magnificent mile and Navy Pier. Would stay again. No upgrade for titanium elite, but a lot of folks in the hotel for a convention.

The while room was very well appointed, cleaned and serviced daily at our request. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the doorman even arranged our taxi to the airport. All attractions close by and within easy walking distance. There is an Uber / Lyft pickup point outside the main entrance and we made use of Lyft when our legs got tired. A great hotel, highly recommend. Plenty of elevators, never had to wait and they were fast at arriving. Read less

We've attempted multiple stays here. Most critically and a major safety concern - someone knocked, no verbal interaction whatsoever, and then attempted to enter our room at 10am. Front Desk Management and their sales team, neither of whom was there or invited Security Staff to discuss the situation with us, tried to justify and defend the employee. If we can hear the elevators going up and down and people talking down the hall, I am certain we could hear someone verbally say something at our door. They say this is standard - so beware that someone may enter your room with no notice. Hope you have clothes on if they do. I know staffing is short all around and offer my patience when I travel - but the rooms also have been dirty every single time. The most recent room had dust so thick and a floor so dirty it was evident a vacuum hasn't been in the room for months. Stained sheets on one bed. Used toiletries, which I threw out and went to Target for our own toiletries and a sheet to lay on top of the dirty one. When we wiped down surfaces on our own, the wipes came out grey. Holes in the ceiling in the closet with exposed insulation - maybe there was a camera there to see the safe, as it did point directly toward that? Could be, based on the other major security concern we encountered. We were credited one night stay and not charged an early departure fee, in full disclosure on our part. While a gesture, a proper apology and proper training so this doesn't happen to anyone in the future would be far greater appreciated. Read less

Stayed here with friends for Lollapalooza back in July. We used points versus paying $500+ a night so we got a great deal. We were upgraded to a "Family Double Room" meaning we just had a little extra space and a twin-sized pullout in addition to the rest of the room with two double beds. We easily fit 6 people in our room so it worked well.… Read more

We were upgraded to a "Family Double Room" meaning we just had a little extra space and a twin-sized pullout in addition to the rest of the room with two double beds. We easily fit 6 people in our room so it worked well. Beyond this, the lobby of the hotel was nice and it had a Starbucks in the lower level which was super convenient. I would give this hotel 5-stars for it being nice and convenient to Grant Park with its affordability using points but I know that not everyone will stay here using points--which is why I gave 4 stars. If you're looking for a Lollapalooza or just a hotel in general when staying in downtown Chicago, definitely take a second look at the Sheraton if the price is rice (or if you're using points).
