We booked this room as part of a wedding block (the last 2 nights of our 3-day stay). First let me say that the staff were fantastic. At the front door, check-in, the bar - anywhere in the hotel, everyone was always friendly. The lobby is very nice, and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant area - we had a great time there. The room was nice, although we were disappointed there was no fridge. The location was also good for us. You had to pay for parking, but the deck was fine. To be honest, my main issue was with management. When the hotel changed from Hilton to Marriott, the free breakfast we were supposed to have with Hilton was not honored by Marriott - and it totally could have been. There was a breakfast buffet every morning which we paid for - but this easily could have been given to us for free. Also, we had several issues with our reservation. We were promised a lower rate for the Thursday night of our stay, which still has not been honored, even though I have followed up (still waiting). At some point, our reservation was changed without our knowledge, and so we were missing a night. The hotel offered to rebook us, but at a higher rate - even though the missing night was the hotel's mistake! And we had to "check in" several times because our room keys kept deactivating. I also thought it was odd that hotel management didn't really seem to be present. For example - at check-in, when I mentioned that the lower rate was missing - I was told that the manager who had granted the rate was off-site, so I would have to contact her separately. It seemed like there was no one at the hotel who could help me with the rate at that time. Very odd. It just seems like behind the scenes things are kind of a mess. Just a note that the bar was also way understaffed for the wedding after-party we attended - only 2 bartenders for a large number of people, and I felt really bad for those bartenders. Read less

There was a beautiful lobby bar and it was close to nice restaurants and bars. However, what made it really great was the amazing service I received throughout my entire stay. Thank you to Chaniya, Amalie, and Sierra for all of their assistance over the weekend. Also, there was one guy who was amazing and very accommodating whose name I didn't catch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in DC. Read less

We loved our weekend stay at the Madison. Weekend metro waits are never fun and this hotel was so centrally located that we were able to walk everywhere to enjoy our weekend as “tourists”. The hotel itself is immaculate, the room was incredibly comfortable, and all of the staff we encountered were so friendly. We can’t wait to stay there again!

This is my second time staying at the Madison Hotel and it certainly won't be my last! After driving 6 hours from CT with my family for some college tours, we were exhausted. From start to finish, the front desk supervisor Amalie took care of our every need. He was extremely gracious and white glove all the way. Our stay has been wonderful and Amalie and Henri were a big part of why we will return again and again. I should also say I work for a global convention company and I will tell our leadership that the Madison should definitely be in our hotel blocks when we do city wide conventions in D.C. Amalie and Henri are true assets to the Madison and to Marriott Bonvoy. Sincerely, Megan K. Read less
