What a wonderful time we had at the Table Bay Hotel High Tea on Sunday 5th May. It was a special occasion, which the staff were aware of and we were made to feel like royalty. There was no end to the kindness, efficiency and professionalism of the lounge staff. Margeaux, the lounge manager, as always was wonderful and made sure that our every need (and considerably more!) was met. Gershwin, our waiter, also deserves a special mention for his attention to detail and excellent service; the chef popped out to see us to explain her vision and accept our compliments on the delicious fare and Melissa, the hotel manager even made the time to introduce herself and warmly welcome us. Not only were we blown away by the amazing staff but the tea time treats were superb. Every one of them was a delicious concoction and deserving of a place in a Parisian Patisserie: from a variety of macaroons, light as air creamy Mocha Mousse treats, hazelnut and chocolate decadent bites and refreshingly sharp lime delicacies, amongst many others, to the delicious savoury offerings and perfect scones brought to the table. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Read less

Pure luxury! Fantastic experience from the booking in to the booking out. The rooms, the staff, the food, especially the breakfasts. Everything was top rate and could not fault anything. I also loved the area, the quayside and the biggest shopping mall I have ever seen!

The hotel is well situated on the waterfront, very well kept and maintained. Very clean facilities with excellent views. Breakfast was scrumptious however Sunday was like a fish market with staff stuttering and unable to cope. We also thought that some local flair food would be welcomed , and we noticed people from the Middle East visiting a kosher and halal section would be welcomed. The receptionist at the restaurant was very unfriendly. We found a few friendly staff in the restaurant. At night we had room service knock in our door at around 11pm when we hadn’t ordered anything. It turned out that it was the wrong room when we altered the front desk and then the staff member who made a mistake came back to knock on our door agin albeit the privacy sign was up - I guess to apologize. I would say for such a beautiful hotel the management is subpar the staff are I’ll trained . Overall it was a pleasant experience, traffic can be quite a challenge over the weekend at the waterfront though. Read less
