The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Las Vegas excels at delivering the impossible in wonderful ways. Where else can you touch down in the Mojave desert and, within 15 minutes, find yourself being serenaded on a gondola ride to St Mark’s Square? A magnificent greatest hits of Venice’s architecture and canals located in the middle of The Strip, the all-suite Venetian is probably the most romantic hotel in Vegas, so let yourself be seduced. Wonder how you ever managed to stay in anything smaller than a suite before, enjoy a meal from one of the Michelin-starred restaurants, walk hand in hand down the Grand Canal shopping esplanade or party the night away in one of the many bars and nightclubs.

Difficulty checking out, couldn't get an actual copy of my hotel receipt showing that the charges were reconciled - very strange. Beds were uncomfortable, clearly older mattresses as both the queen mattresses in my room dipped/slanted so that neither bed was actually level. Overall, it's a nice hotel. Pricy hotel with no breakfast included. Most staff is nice and helpful. Bad experience at the end when I left my luggage before exploring the city: There was a female bellman that had a very nasty attitude and should work on her customer skills. If you see a client not knowing where the line is to drop the luggage you should guide them politely… Read more

Bad experience at the end when I left my luggage before exploring the city: There was a female bellman that had a very nasty attitude and should work on her customer skills. If you see a client not knowing where the line is to drop the luggage you should guide them politely not in an aggressive manner. She almost yelled at me and told me to back away. That's not nice at all Read less

I recently stayed here for a week. First the entire 6th floor flooded with sewage, but no worries they didn't tell the customers, or offer to move them. I recently stayed here for a week. First the entire 6th floor flooded with sewage, but no worries they didn't tell the customers, or offer to move them. Then the next day I found my shower and bath filled with debris. I cleaned it out myself, then left for the day only to return to find the toilet firing water into the air. When I spoke to the front desk the staff seemed annoyed and directed me to go to my room, pack it up walk back to the front desk and then they would find me a room. After debating with the staff and asking for maintenance to meet with me so I could get into the new room without having to come back and forth they finally sent someone. When that personnel arrived he shared that they had propped my door open the day before and used it to dump the sewage water into the sinks (no worries that was next to my toothbrush) my shower and my bath tub. This nearly caused me to vomit knowing I was standing in this during my shower. Then as I moved to the new floor two days later I come back to my room to find the staff sitting in there where he said he was checking the water pressure. THIS PLACE HAS FALLEN FAR FROM WHEN SHELDON WAS ALIVE! No apologies, not even a coupon for a cup of coffee!!!! It was forget you give me my money and don't worry if we treat you like trash! I would have had better experience at a red roof inn! NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! Read less

Check in took more than 30 minutes during non peak hours. The phone in the room did not work so I had to walk down to the desk just to request an item. The hotel is huge with a confusing layout. Rooms are really old needs a remodel ASAP. The front desk helped me shorten my stay ( Thank you Domenico) but it took me 3 hours on the phone balancing between the two parties (hotel and my reservation company). That is unacceptable. The room was paid directly to the hotel, but they made my reservation company call this special resort services number and it took 4 tries because both parties kept trying to say it was the other person's responsibility. It's a nice hotel, just was not a good fit for us. Front desk very professional especially the PM supervisor. $65 resort fee should include free water and beverages... not $14 beverages and no breakfast. The only amenity I used was wi fi which was spotty. Read less
