Thompson Seattle

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Like a beautiful, glass puzzle box, this newcomer to Seattle’s luxury boutique hotel scene stands just a block away from Pike Place Market and the waterfront. As such it commands disarming views of Puget Sound through to the distant Olympic Mountains from The Nest – the Thompson Seattle’s urbane rooftop bar and outdoor living room – and many of its rooms and suites – through pulse-quickening, floor-to-ceiling windows. Decorated with elegant materials given quirky contemporary life through an understated colour palette, the look and feel is very much 'comfortable luxury residence'; something that’s only enhanced by a 24-hour fitness centre, complimentary WiFi, and Scout PNW, a restaurant by local hero chef Josh Henderson that turns the finest locally sourced ingredients into dishes that become lifelong memories.

the good 1. great location - walking distance to pike market and monorail 2. clean room - room is clean 3. friendly staffs - almost everyone greets you things that I don't like 1. there's random plumbing noise (running water through pipes) that comes and goes throughout day and night, if it occurs when you're already having problem sleeping, it… Read more

Choose this hotel based on pics but room was very small, furniture was old and beat up, shower had little water pressure. The rooms had poor options for charging devices. Water view room worth every penny. Terrific location. Room is a bit smaller but still comfortable. A couple of VERY minor issues such as a desk lamp never working and having to ask for replenishment of lotion. Of course it’s a beautiful and edgy property it’s a Thompson. Great location. A couple of VERY minor issues such as a desk lamp never working and having to ask for replenishment of lotion. Of course it’s a beautiful and edgy property it’s a Thompson. Great location. Did not have a chance to dine there, the short staffing had them fully booked at both spots the whole trip. The staff deserves a standing ovation for being short staffed and handling this COVID Omicron tsunami like champs. They were short handed but kept it stealth. The valet was so helpful at every interaction and the other valet, AD, rescued us. when we had to park unplanned for a short time, instead of responding with the rack rate, responded with “I’ve got it handled”. Would absolutely return to this property Read less

The room was not too big, it was pretty clean but no bathtub. The breakfast was nice, and you can eat everything for free when you are a Hyatt Globalist. The service and the food are good. Parking is a bit of expensive but was not bad except there is one time I need to keep waiting until the man come to do valet. I was about to give a even worse rating because comparing to the previous stay in closeby hotel in Monaco Seattle, they actually gave me a upgrade to room with a bit of view and some special celebration. I heard of Thompson hotels' name, and always wanted to stay in one. I expect really high of it but fail down. I choose to stay in this hotel because the view could be better than other Hyatt hotels as Hyatt Globalist. I emailed to inquiry about things, as I like to take some night/sunset pictures as I stated in the email. They told me they can take me up there around 11am-1pm when no one is up there. I feel really really disappointed since I really like to take a picture of the Great Wheel up there in this hotel at sunset or night view. For that, I took the rain and take pictures around in harbor area instead in my birthday. I feel sad about it, the room did not have a good photography view, and I couldn't get to the top on night time when staying. Read less

One of the best property in downtown Seattle! I felt so valued as a Hyatt Globalist. Upon arrival I was offered a glass of champagne by Peter. He also explain to me by benefit at a valued guest. I was given a free breakfast with my wife at their restaurant. Few minutes later, a glass of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) and pack of cashew arrive in our room door to welcome us. This is a truly wonderful experience with my wife. Thank you Peter for your job well done on making us feel valued guest. Read less
