Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

Offered to us as a complimentary stay as the first time I stayed was beyond a joke. This time even worse. 1am in the morning and they can’t find where noise from a gathering is coming from, I can tell you it’s above me! Not prepared to let us change rooms nor shut a party down. Have been just offered ear plugs which so far haven’t showed up after 20 mins of offering them. 2 hours since the vdara shenanigans have started. Crap service as usual. Wouldn’t waste your money on this hotel. Customer not at the heart of their worries. Read less

The rooms here are very large. You have a kitchen with a microwave and mini-fridge. There is a little living room with a separate TV. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is quite large. This is not a casino and is smoke free. Pretty close to things here. Cosmopolitan and Bellagio are connected by a walkway. Aria is next door. I found it easy to… Read more

I found it easy to catch Uber/Lyft (some places they are banished to an out of the way area). The only negatives is that one of the tables had not been dusted in quite some time. There is also a hefty resort fee that comes with the place, which you have to pay even if you don't use the amenities it covers. Read less

None have the value and convenience with extras we've discovered here for about the same price. No casino so you'll get a great night's sleep in a quiet location with no thumping music or massive crowds in a luxurious comfortable bed with a nice hot shower, large bathroom and big thick soft towels. Rooms are very spacious and all include refrigerators and microwave. Very short walk to get to your room with the best location on the strip... anything you need in a quick walk outside of the hotel including Aria's hotel and casino, less than a 5 minute walk from your room! No long waits for a Starbucks coffee or a quick bite downstairs. Even the housekeeping does a better job than any of the other properties we've stayed at. We love this hidden quiet spot right in the middle of the most convenient location on the strip! Read less

Very mixed. PROs were friendly staff and amazing views as well as proximity to the Strip, Bellagio, etc. CONs: VERY dated/worn (dirty carpet with burns and snags, dented lamp shade, large stain on comfy, furniture is worn), very few hangers in closet, Market Cafe breakfast sandwich was a joke - plastic wrapped and microwaved most likely. Very expensive hotel for the condition and they added hefty charges for the mini bar which we never used (they asked if we had opened it. I replied it’s right next to the refrigerator and looks exactly the same as the refrigerator so my wife might’ve accidentally opened it, but we never used it). They removed the charges, but pretty weak that they added them in the first place. I recognize that the Covid shut downs were very tough on the industry and maybe they’re trying to play catch-up but to justify these prices they need to pursue major updates. Read less

Hmm. I’ve stayed here once before about 9 years ago, I don’t think the rooms have had a refresh since then. Location suits, I like the fact there is no casino. Pool closed Mon-Thurs which we were not informed about prior to stay. There were no prices for the minibar, I took one bottle of Fuji water which was on the counter; it was unclear whether… Read more

Pool closed Mon-Thurs which we were not informed about prior to stay. There were no prices for the minibar, I took one bottle of Fuji water which was on the counter; it was unclear whether it was a welcome bottle as it was on the worktop with a branded bag of candy. Upon check out I was charged $25. For one room temperature bottle of water. That’s poor and felt like a cheap trick. Staff were friendly. Room was cleaned each day. Read less
