YOTEL Boston

Boston, USA

The hotel

Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

Most comments say the room is small but it’s fine if you have experienced a cruise ship. The room is about the same size. Trendy features and great helpful staff. Great location and downtown is walking distance. It will be our go to Boston hotel moving forward.

The rooms are compact, but had everything I needed...except coffee. That being said the coffee and breakfast offered on the ground floor was among the best I've had. I can't say the same about the penthouse restaurant, as I was served a very greasy appetizer. The service there was great as well was the location. This is a great value hotel. I… Read more

I would have given this 5 stars if not for the appetizer. Read less

Very small room and not worth the money . We also didn't like the polystyrene cups for drinks and no fridge.

The temperature in the room was easy to control, and there is a window in the bathroom that opensa small amount. There is no coffee in the room. In the lobby complimentary coffee is supposed to be available from 5:30 to 6:30, which is too early for many people. The ice machine on the 9th floor was empty 50% of the time, but ice was always available on the 8th floor. You need your card key to work the elevator, which is inconvenient if your hands are full. There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the convention center. There is Trader Joe's and Trillium bar next to it, and a Shake Shack across the street. It is literally right next to the Silver line Bus/train that takes you right to the airport. It is in walking distance of the harbor, Chinatown, the North Market, and the Boston Public Market. Read less
