Great experience, loved the resort. Highly recommend the glass boat snorkeling trip that leaves from the hotel. The water sports guys were the best and make sure you go fishing with Adam. He and Sherrod (sp?) went above and beyond to answer any questions and provide an entertaining experience.

We have just returned from an excellent 12 night stay at the Club Barbados & Spa. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were looked after by fantastic, friendly staff, in every area of the business. I’ve never seem so many smiley faces in one resort. The restaurant food was of a very high standard, not always associated with all inclusive resorts, especially in Enid’s. We have an ocean view room with a separate balcony which was a great upgrade and kept immaculately clean every day. They do not pretend to be, nor charge Sandy Lane prices, so i struggle to understand where some of the negative reviews come from. Have sent the last 12 years visiting the Caribbean in April, this was one of the best memories amongst those. If it did have the large sandy beach right outside the hotel, it would probably be THE best (but you would have to pay more). The very short walk to the beach was so easy to access taking less than a minute. Well done Caroline and the team (special mention to Kathy) I might be back to poach your staff very soon :) Read less

It was one of the best 9 days. Nothing but positive comments about the staff, accommodations AND we knew about the daily resort fee - (it's not a secret). Sure there is not much beach front...but explore...We walked the Sandy Lane beach every day...Holetown is an easy walk either by beach or by street. From the bartenders to the wait… Read more

Holiday booked with Tui. On arrival at the airport we had a 60 minute wait for our taxi, no other taxis available. When we arrived at the hotel and went to reception I thought that the area needed refurbishing which set alarm bells ringing. We were taken to our room and to our disappointment it was just the same. All the furnishings had a lot of wear. The bathroom furniture also. Spot light hanging out of the ceiling and fan not working. The power points were low to the floor so to work the kettle you had to either put it on the floor as the lead was not long enough or use a chair if you were not using it…. A faff! To my amazement the fridge was not stocked with any beverages. I have never had an empty fridge on an all inclusive hotel. I did ask the question and I was told I had to get drinks from the bar. Water in bottles were available on the first night in the room but after that you had to find a bottle and fill it up at the bar or buy it . No bottle no water! Every day at breakfast you had to book a time for the restaurant in the evening which didn’t work for us as we never had breakfast. some of the staff had got an attitude when we booked later in the day which wasn’t very nice. Our hotel room was all clean to start and the cleaner made a good job at first thankfully , but as the holiday progressed and cleaners changed it did go down hill and the balcony was also left. They were inconsistent with towels, flannels, mats etc so always having to phone reception. If you’re wanting a beach holiday at the hotel then forget it. It is a sand base for the sunbeds which was fine for me but not for everyone . Lastly the food , thought I’d save the best till last! We had fabulous food and didn’t want to eat anywhere else. The drinks were great too! Fortunately we met some great people ( holiday makers) and they really made the holiday for us. We were hoping for some luxury, the pictures look it but in reality it is not! It’s not the place for us and unfortunately will not be returning. Read less

The Club Barbados. Visited 21 March – 4 April 2024 Package – All Inclusive Room – 135 – Garden View Ground Floor. On arrival we were shown to our initial room which was very small and quite dingy. Added to this we both smoke and smoking on balconies is not allowed. We asked for a ground floor room with garden view so we could smoke on the veranda. This was actioned and sorted in 2 minutes of asking and we were very grateful. Day 1 – Hotel orientation delivered by Adam from the activities team – Funny, witty and very well delivered with all important points covered off. Set us in a good mood for the rest of our stay. Room – Bathroom was tired and dated but clean and functional. Room had a large TV with the apps such as Netflix installed and just awaiting you to login if you wanted to catch up on something. Large uber comfy bed and lovely pillows was perfect for chilling after a day on a sun longer. Food – Large Sunset restaurant – Buffet style with 2 x Al A Carte evenings per week during our stay. Always something to please everybody. I really enjoyed the cooked to order area. Omelettes for breakfast, burgers and chicken at lunch and fish or meat in the evenings. The hot dishes didn’t disappoint, although was expecting a little more Caribbean spice. Strongest point was the staff in the restaurant and the banter and brilliant. Dined in Enid’s once, and it was nice but we preferred the sunset restaurant. Activities – Aqua Fit 1100 every day was always a fun activity to get involved in and the activities team did a great job in getting everyone involved. Staff – The staff here were the reason I would return. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left they were 100% attentive. From front desk calling us a taxi to go off exploring to explaining the best bar for a sunset drink in Holetown. The bar staff making drinks just how we liked them. The restaurant team were brilliant from the moment we were shown to our table to the last lunch before we departed. The chef – Vicky the burger and grill queen thank you for adding 4 inches to my waistline. Points to improve on – Place USB sockets in the rooms as most hotels have them these days. Shame there was no drinks service around the pool area. Look at improving the décor in the bathrooms. Read less
