The hotel

Key West's historic Old Town has an enchanting ambience with its pretty, tree-lined streets and ornate architecture. The Ocean Key Resort is one of the only hotels to be located right on Mallory Square, overlooking the ocean and giving you front-row seats to the spectacular sunsets. Myriad street entertainers make the square come alive and you can wander between jugglers, 'statues' and performers — or simply retire to the hotel's fantastic Sunset Pier bar and grill, which serves delicious chargrilled seafood and refreshing cocktails with which to toast the setting sun.

100 rooms and suites on 4 floors in 2 buildings with 5 lifts. All with private balcony, air-conditioning, TV, safe, iron and board, jetted or whirlpool tub in bathroom and hairdryer. Superior Rooms sleep maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites with 1 king-size bed, plus queen-size sleeper sofa, a whirlpool tub and a private balcony with views of Key West’s historic Duval Street, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

One-bedroom Suites sleep maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.


Please note: Oceanfront Suites are being renovated between 1st August and 1st October 2022

Valet parking $45 per day (payable locally, subject to change; no self-parking available). Old Town Trolley operates close by.

The Sunset Pier bar and grill (casual Caribbean fare and tropical drinks, open for lunch and dinner), Hot Tin Roof (waterfront fine dining, blending Cuban, Caribbean and South Floridian cuisine, open for breakfast and dinner). LIQUID pool bar and lounge (open for lunch, snacks and drinks). Tiki bar.

Swimming pool perched above the Gulf, whirlpool, Sunset Pier, SpaTerre* — Indonesian-inspired spa with 5 treatment rooms, including massage and facials. Fitness centre. Mallory Square sunset ceremony by the back door every night.

We had a great time at Ocean Key. Loved our room. The staff was very friendly. Shout out to Mitch the concierge. He was so helpful and such a nice guy. Loved the pool and pool bar. Shout out to Jessica at the pool bar. She was awesome. Enjoyed the free drinks at the lobby bar. The bartender was great to chat with.

The Ocean Key was pretty spectacular for the price. The staff and property are amazing, can’t beat the location. Pool and Sunset Pier are incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this stay. Book directly through the hotel for the best experience.

What a great stay at Ocean Key! Situated at 0 Duval St, you're right in the middle of all the action and have great water views from your room (if you book an ocean view) or the pool area. Check-in was truly seamless - the friendly valet took our suitcases and after a quick check-in helped us to our room. We were in Room 426 which we were told was a recently renovated room and it looked like it. The entire atmosphere of the resort is beautiful. I esp. like that the parking garage (valet only) is right there on the 1st level and when you're walking the 2nd floor hallway it's open air with really nice foliage (hard to explain, but it's really pretty) covering the garage below. Pros: 1. Location Location Location 2. The room was clean, spacious, and had a nice balcony with a partial ocean view. 3. Watch the sunset from the pool deck to avoid the Mallory Square crowds. 4. Service was spot on throughout our stay. 5. The Rum Bar in the lobby is fantastic! 6. We tried room service breakfast one morning and it was delicious as well as reasonably priced. Cons: 1. They provide a card in the room to schedule your housekeeping and they didn't come at all on our first full day. I needed to call the front desk for towels later that evening. 2. Great spa, everyone was so friendly and personable. Massage by Amy was the best!! My sister had a facial and said it was great! Thank you Amy, Crystal, and Susan for a wonderful visit. Spa was so relaxing and super clean- highly recommend a visit.
