Good overall. Precious was super helpful when I had an issue with dine in room service and Brenda gave me a room with a view and balcony! Thanks Brenda! I was there for a conference so I had to use room service when I was working in my room and the burger was not good. I stuck with the garden salad and that worked out! My title is Dr. and it was on my reservation but everyone renamed me as Ms. It was Stephen (I think ) when I was checking out that called me by the title on the reservation. He said that I worked hard for it and apologized I was not called by the title and name on my reservation. It is amazing how deeply bias is engrained. The staff was not mean, Brenda is a woman and Precious is a Black woman -- and it was a man that called me by my title. so sometimes bias is not intentional I hope they get training to call people by the name and title on the reservation and the impact of microaggressions. That is why Black women doctors are often unseen because people refuse to address them as such. We exist and since we are in such small numbers it is even MORE important to call people by their title. It is always cool when a little girl hears my title and knows she can also grow up and do the same. Even cooler when a little boy also hears the title! ( sorry for any typos) Read less

Me and my wife stayed over the weekend getaway for our 15th year anniversary. It was a beautiful experience. We were literally spoiled by the GM Ron McAnaugh and the Concierge Junie Dionson. They made every minute of our stay satisfied. Thanks to the entire lovely staff in JW Marriott Tampa! Highly recommended!!!

Water taxi operates from near the hotel as well. JW Marriott connected. Nice outdoor restaurant bar and place to eat. Sandwich was very good. Outdoor bar closed a little early. Rooms are nice.… Read more

This has got to be truly one of the best Marriott hotels in North America! Everything was truly perfect and the delivery of elite benefits was flawless. Plus the hotel went out of its way to help celebrate our birthdays in a grand way! Cant wait to return!

The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was very nice. My complaint was that the overall decor was disappointing and dated and the room was so out of date that I was shocked. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The flooring needed imrovement but when I saw the bathroom, I felt like checking out and finding another hotel. The worst part was that it still had a tub and the shower/tube was very small and difficult to shower in. Wouldi stay there again? Hard to tell Read less
