There are no rooms! Every guest gets a studio or apartment – the convenience of a residence with the luxury of hotel service. The Mondrian South Beach is a curved piece of Modernist architecture with an interior designed by controversial Marcel Wanders. The style is definitely post Minimalist with a sophisticated colour palette of gold, black and white. With his trademark chandeliers throughout, comfort in the sensual sense is given centre stage inside and out. The huge pool with private cabanas and individual plunge pools, surrounded by a lush garden, lounge areas, secret pathways and kissing areas is definitely not your average pool. The setting is straight out of CSI Miami, the silhouette of downtown Miami is behind the expansive blue waters of Biscayne Bay. Because it faces west it also has the sunsets; best watched with a mojito in hand from the bayside bar or private rooftop bar.

TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
I recently had a massage with Patricia S. At the Agua Spa and I have to say it was, without a doubt, the best massage I've ever had in my life. I was having shoulder and neck pain for about a month... Read more and Patricia, with her extensive knowledge of her profession, was able to pin point the exact areas that were causing the pain. Two days after the massage the pain was completely gone, I can't thank her enough. Beautiful Spa as well and great staff service all around. I will definitely be coming back. Read less
Three girlfriends spent the weekend at the Mondrian. Our one bedroom suite with balcony was the perfect size. Being within walking distance of a Whole Foods, pharmacy, and Starbucks was a plus. We... Read more bought snacks and drinks there to enjoy on our balcony overlooking South Beach. The food in the restaurants was very tasty (especially the lobster rolls). The drinks were great and we were treated to a free round at check in. The spa was nice. My friends and I enjoyed the manicures, pedicures, and facials. I had the best facial ever! The nicest part was that the spa manager did not charge me for the facial because there had been a mix up about the time of my appointment. The concierge, front desk staff, wait staff and housekeeping staff were all top notch. The only complaint we had was the condition of the rollaway bed. It was not comfortable in the least. Thankfully, the large sofa in our suite was suitable for sleeping. The front desk took the charge off for the rollaway without a blink. We will definitely be back for another visit soon! Read less
I went to the Mondrian spa because I really needed a relaxing spa day and thats exactly what I found. I had the most relaxing Agua massage I feel asleep. Then I had a facial and pedicure with Elena... Read more , she is amazing. I felt the spa was very clean and very private and very flexible. I felt like a new person when I left and I learned so much during my facial about my skin. Great staff and Management I am a spa junkie and I totally recommend the Mondrian. Read less
For my niece’s birthday we decided to make it a girl’s day out and go for massages and poolside fun! Travel Zoo had a fantastic deal going on for a $99 massage so we took the plunge (pun totally... Read more intended!). The hotel itself is beautiful, with a large black staircase in the middle accented by simple white walls and a bar. Upon arriving, we quickly headed up to the spa where we were given our locker keys and a quick tour. Joshua & Jessica were at the desk and they couldn’t have been nicer. They were quick to get us on our way and had no issues processing our vouchers (that can be a nightmare sometimes!). The facility is nice but small and poorly lit. They only have one shower which made it very difficult for all of us to shower there so we decided to head home oiled up and still floating on a cloud of relaxation. Our home showers would have to do this time. They also have a sauna that I didn’t use but my cousin really enjoyed. The massage itself was very good. Ana, Kristina, and Tatyana were our masseuses and they did a great job. We had the hot stone massage and that helped melt away the month long tension that had been building up since the end of the holiday season. The rooms though, were not so great. Mine was a bit hot and unlike the bathrooms, it was NOT poorly lit – it was way too bright for my taste. However, they cannot control that, as it is just the natural light coming in through the window. Boo. The pool area was smaller than I expected but very, very nice! There was plenty of seating available and the service was SUPERB! We were constantly being asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything, which means we always had a drink in our hands – Yeeeeeah! Vivianna, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. She was sweet, personable, and super-fast! She made me want to stay by the pool the entire time. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to flag down servers by the pool only to be in the throes of a heat stroke by the time they arrive. This was NOT the case with Vivianna. I swear, I think the girl had eyes in the back of her head or she has a "Thirst Radar" that let's her know when people need a drink! All in all this is a GREAT hotel in the heart of Miami Beach that offers spectacular service and good massages (especially if you can get your hands on a Travel Zoo or Groupon deal). The Spa facilities itself could use a little refurbishing which is why I didn’t give this the extra star – but It’s definitely NOT a deal breaker for me. I will be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack... Read more Ahhhhh! The Mondrian ....It is a nice hotel. We had free continental bfast and the pool is sweet. When the hotel had a pool party It was fun. I chilled in the small shallow pool and relaxed listening to music. I appreciate how the jet ski service was available at the back of the hotel. I believe it is a seperate business from the hotel. The only thing is if you are trying to go to south beach it is 14 block's to Ocean dr, so yeah you can walk, but after awhile I jus caught a cab and walked the rest of the way..Also, the rooms are nice, I like the showers. Staff was cool did not , so really interact too much withc them to comment. Overall, you will enjoy its nice, a little pricey especially in May. Read less
