This is ranking up as one of our favourite destinations .. we have experienced some amazing holidays but Dhigali is up there as one of the best. Location is just beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Staff work hard to keep everywhere looking prestine and clean. All staff are welcoming and looking to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Our accommodation is a beach villa. The main bedroom is so spacious and comfortable with desk bench seat, ample wardrobe space. Well stocked mini bar (we are on Premium All Inc- PAI) bathroom has large free standing bath, separate toilet and separate shower cubical with great water pressure. There is also an out door shower in the enclosed bathroom court yard. There is everything you need. The fresort acilities, restaurants, bars, spa, dive centre are all first rate. 5**all round We booked through Virgin Holidays which used Emirates for the flights. One word of warning we booked a 10 night stay, but the virgin system counts the night flight as your first night.. so ended up with 9nights at the resort. There is a notice on the virgin website but given others do not do this you can miss it. We found other holiday goers made the same mistake and were annoyed by the outcome. That said the holiday is AMAZING Highly recommend. Next time (and there will be) we may take BA flights as they are direct unlike the 17 hours from Gatwick to Male via Dubai but it depends on whether BA put this resort on their destination list. Sunset cruise and dolphin cruise were beautiful too. I have to say the staff are all amazing. The service is next level and the staff go out of their way to be polite, positive and always go the extra mile. Tiari, Kumar, Chris, Bendey, and Laamiu deserve a special mention for looking after us so well. Holiday of a lifetime - if you are in any doubt, just book it Read less

We returned to Dhigali after we had a great holiday 18 months previously, again we stayed in a water villa for the 10 nights, number 617. We flew in by seaplane again, you get a great view of the islands as you fly over, we were greeted by the staff on arrival who remembered us from our previous visit. The island was very tidy again. The staff work so hard keeping the beaches and paths clean, I'd like to thank Rado, who kept our room spick and span, and also tried his best to teach me a few words of Maldivian. The food was also as good as I remembered, I particularly enjoyed the Battuta restaurant, although when we arrived the island was at high occupancy so it was difficult to get into the restaurants, so if your agent can book restaurants ahead for you that's a great help. The sand around the Haali bar has shifted into a long sandbar which is lovely to walk along with your feet in the water and a cocktail in your hand. If you like snorkeling you will love Dhigali, the fish life around the island is superb, we had Powderblues swimming around our villa, aswell as parrot fish, tangs Maldivian clown fish being hosted by anemones, I'd recommend a good rash vest as the sun is very strong and will burn you when snorkeling, they do sell good vests in the island shop for around £55. There are lots of juvenile black tip reef sharks around the island who will quite happily ignore you as they swim past. I really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves, then walking to breakfast, Ratti does the best eggs benedict. One slight problem we noticed was the noise from the bar at night as our villa was very close to the East bar, but it didn't spoil our holiday, I'd recommend getting a villa towards the waters ports centre which will be more tranquil in the evening. The watersports on the island are really good, I really enjoyed the paddleboarding, we also went on the complementary sunset cruise and the dolphin watching cruise, Dhigali is great for a holiday, very chilled with super helpful staff, Read less
