This was our first visit to the Maldives and we weren’t disappointed. We stayed in a beach villa without a pool. With the most incredible beach a few steps from our villa we didn’t miss one. We spent one day at the pool which was lovely but settled so quickly into spending time at our villa relaxing, swimming and watching the baby sharks. The reef is beautiful and you don’t have to best the best snorkeler to see loads of marine life. Watching the sharks at the Eclipse after dark was truly memorable. During our stay our host Kunal was excellent. His service was attentive but not instrusive. We always knew he was there if we needed help with anything. We experienced and enjoyed all the restaurants the only slight niggle was having to sign the bill at the end of each meal, other premium all inclusive resorts don’t ask you to do this, asking for the bill does seem unnecessary. A shout out to Joseph the Sommelier whose passion for the wine comes across and we had an enjoyable time chatting to him. What makes this such a special place is the team at the resort, The management team are very visible and this sets them apart from other resorts we have visited. Thank you to everyone from making the a memorable stay and we genuinely hope that we will be back. Read less

Where do I begin... If you are stuck for choice and you like chilled, elegant luxury then this is the place for you. We had a sunset water villa and it was outstanding, extremely well appointed and very clean, with lots of fresh towels daily. We were looked after by the wonderful Haseen whilst we were there, who was simply amazing, he made our holiday perfect. Every little request was dealt with immediately and it was always lovely to see him on a daily basis. I just wish we could have brought him back to the UK with us. The reef is sublime and full of wonderful coral and full of the most amazing fish. We also had a fab private trip out to the mantas and turtles and swam with 10+ mantas who liked to be up close and personal and 8 beautiful turtles - how lucky were we! The food is wonderful here - the only critism I could make on this part was the steak we had at the steak house wasnt brilliant BUT it was at the other restaurants! Special shout out to Priyanka - and the head chef, plus the lead chef at Aqua who sorted out a pizza for my son on his last day when this restaurant doesnt really do pizzas! We loved riding our bikes round the island - so much fun! Special shout out to the water sports guys - especially Mata - we had such fun doing water skiing, trying bob cats and fly boarding! Thanks guys. I simply cannot fault this place - it is everything we could have wanted and more, and we are definitely going back again. We booked with Simply Maldives (our second time booking with them) and once again Amit and Kalpna and his team NAILED it - thank you so much! Ready to book us in for next year??! Read less

The staff, without exception, were extremely attentive, always helpful and provided outstanding service at all times. The Aqua Restaurant buffets were as good as we've had anywhere and the Meditterraneo Restaurant and Eclipse Bar were outstanding. Our only negative comment is that we thought the menu choice in the Carnivorous and Asiatic Restaurants was rather limited but thus didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the holiday. We were very sad to leave. Read less

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Maldives where we enjoyed a split stay between Emerald Maldives and Emerald Faarufushi. We very much loved the friendly welcome we got and the wonderful and clean rooms. Snorkeling the enormous reef was truly fantastic and the excursions we did with the diving team superb. We very much liked the food at Aqua and the Sushi class. We found the dining choices at Carnivorous very limited which is a shame. What we liked least about the resort was the inconsistent service. We really got spoilt by the Emerald Maldives excellent staff so the notable difference surprised us. There are some very friendly stars I d like to mention - Priyanka, Yasir, the two lovely south african sommeliers. But there were also some not very friendly people and unlike at Emerald Maldives, no one bothered to remember guests names and room numbers. Also, why do we have to sign a theoretical bill after every meal if it’s all inclusive? And last to the villa hosts - please do not interrupt guests at dinner to discuss admin stuff - at least not when they are chewing and food gets cold. Maybe a training at Emerald Maldives with Wisham would help to show how a perfect villa host could be… Read less
