We wanted to take our family to the Maldives as we all love snorkelling and we had honeymooned at Kanhura 23 years ago. Kuredu was amazing, beautiful beaches incredible warm sea and stunning sunsets. We even saw a few sunrises as we made the most of our stay by using the gym in the morning and going on trips arranged by Prodivers. You could snorkel off the main beach and encounter turtles and sting rays, there was even a ship wreck. At night you could see many nurse and reef sharks from the decking at the O resort or bar. We saw dolphins almost every day and snorkelled with Manta Rays - which was one of my personal best bits of our stay. Our children thought the whole island was stunning and they said they couldn’t believe that they were there! We stayed in O resort which was beautiful. But we also ate in 2 other restaurants and went to a couple of parties at the main bar. It never seemed like there were lots of other people around, we felt quite privileged. Every member of staff we meet were friendly, helpful and happy which we felt reflected in the service and ambiance of the resort. We can’t name everyone but thanks to; Shanty, Samee, Yugesh and Nathan and his team of chefs in O. The most delicious food choices ever and happy to serve cocktails at lunch or dinner or in between. Plus a big shout out to the buggy drivers and our Badminton Champion :-) We will be booking to return next year. Read less

We spent a truly magical 2 weeks on Kuredu over Easter and were upgraded to the Sangu water villas which were exceptional. Many thanks to the management team and all the staff for running the island so brilliantly. Thank you to Bijay our host, Mohamed Ali our room attendant whose ‘towel art’ decorations were incredible! We had swans, turtles, stingrays and even people, they made us smile everyday. Thank you to Ibrahim our waiter, Shereya, all the chefs, sous chefs and bar staff. The food and service was amazing every day and the Easter Sunday decorations and cakes were mind blowing. Such a huge effort by all the staff to make Easter Day so special. Thank you to Alvin, Billy and all the buggy drivers for saving our legs when we were too hot to walk. Thank you to Tina and her ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ at the dive centre and the water sports lads who lead us on jets skis to snorkel with the humpback whale!!! We enjoyed so much marine life and loved the snowy egrets, the fruit bats in the early evening and the hermit crabs on the beach at night. Henry the resident heron was also a star fishing in the shallows and standing on the Sangu pool edge. The sand bar in the evening as the sun was setting was beautiful, we miss you Kuredu and are planning on returning as soon as possible. Read less

Just returned from our second visit to Kuredu which is so peaceful and relaxing. We again stayed in a beach villa (number 317) which is situated in our favourite spot on the island where you get a breeze from the ocean. The buffet food has improved, especially the desserts, but there is still too many curries and local food for our liking. However, Franco’s Italian restaurant is excellent and not too expensive. We would recommend going full board as we didn’t spend anything close to the all inclusive price. Water shoes are a must as there is so much more coral on the beaches now. Read less
