I stayed here overnight for business in April. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was secure and you could not enter with out showing your room key to a guard which made me feel safe. This is my second stay here and would continue to book.

Old wallpaper falling off the walls and an undeniable urine type odor in the bathroom. Left with no towels and washcloths after the first day. Bath Shower faucet is pretty but hard to use unless you are Hercules.

We had a lovely stay in March. Room had a wonderful view up Lexington Avenue and the Brooklyn Bridge could be seen with binoculars. Room was a great size and was kept clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, next to GCT and views of the Chrysler Building when you walk away from the hotel. Stayed 5 nights and was given $15 a day to spend in the market (snacks, coffee etc.). You have to leave the hotel about $450 on you card on arrival as a retainer and they take the $46 a day local tax from it before you leave. This is all in the information you are given when booking. Dont forget local taxes added to everything you buy, count on an additional 10% should cover it. Read less

Stayed here back in 2016 so decided it was the best hotel based on experience to re book when bringing family from the uk over. I can’t believe how much it had changed, I had emailed 2 weeks prior to request a kettle and travel cot in my room to which I was told this was not an issue and the items would be in room on arrival but they weren’t, when… Read more
Stayed here back in 2016 so decided it was the best hotel based on experience to re book when bringing family from the uk over. I can’t believe how much it had changed, I had emailed 2 weeks prior to request a kettle and travel cot in my room to which I was told this was not an issue and the items would be in room on arrival but they weren’t, when I popped down to reception to ask I was met by the same guy that checked us in with Question? Very rude but still no cot!! Another member of staff as you enter bar/restaurant area met with the word yes as if we were an inconvenience for spending money on drinks. Honestly I read some reviews before re booking who had mentioned this and I wish I had listened because honestly I’ve never stayed in a hotel any where where staff have been so rude and acting like guest are a inconvenience to them and it’s not even before anyone has spoken so it’s not like guests have been rude first. Room is ok don’t waste money on city view the noise form music outside grand central even from floor 31 keeps you awake till midnight it’s an actual joke I think times square would actually have been quieter. Such a very disappointing stay especially as I brought family for a first time visit and I was embarrassed for them.. I work for a travel agents back in uk and will not be recommending this hotel Read less

Just what we needed for our short visit easy for walking and subway users. Felt food and drink were over priced in market section.
