Customer service training is needed. During my travels to various countries, I have enjoy great customer service. At Decameron Montego Bay hotel, the service provided, was one of the poorest. Unfortunately, the attitude displayed by the staff often implies that our presence inconveniences them. Notably, both, the front desk and the gift shop experiences were particularly unsatisfactory. In the gift shop, for instance, the employee appeared bothered when asked to confirm the price of an item for the second time. In an attempt to avoid further disruption, I apologized for any inconvenience caused and decided not to make a purchase. We were a group of 5 women friends and all of us had the same perception. Firstly we didn’t know the elevator wasn’t working until we arrived 🙄 we have to pull our luggage’s up the stairs, there “bell boy” was no help. the bathroom was atrocious the room should be set for 2 adults and 2 children we only received 2 towels and 2 rags, when I ask about the rag they told us they stop giving rags because guest take them . On to the food this is the first hotel I have seen food ran out of food 🤢 everything salt, my mother’s pressure went up right after the vacation. There deserts was not it, everything tasted similar. nothing to choose from if you don’t eat what they provide you are doomed if there is no seat in the buffet area u have to wait until other people finish eating and if there is no food we have to wait on lunch. Only two waitresses were very nice, Ramona and Tiana they made sure we got everything we wanted and that we were ok.On to the pool. The bar was ok. smh the towels were a disgrace, some were torn, discolored and there was a shortage of towels. We stood in the sun to be dried because they said we couldn’t carry our towels from the room to use and as we said before there wasn’t a lot of towels. We went to the sauna only to hear that it is not working in witch they didn’t state that on there site. My son was playing basketball and had an accident I was told to go to the nurse station up on arriving I was told I have to pay 45usd to see the nurse and if I need a pain rub I have to go and buy it and if need 2 pain killers I have to buy after I pay over 200 thousand jmd to stay in this so-called hotel, I wouldn’t recommend this place to not even a stray dog I would never go back even if it’for free . I was expecting similar service as when I went to Cabo’s San Lucas Mexico. In other words it was the complete opposite. We arrived earlier from the United States and we couldn’t check in till 3pm. I place to be in King size bedroom but instead I received a two full beds for me and my partner. Food was lackluster, one day my partner and I were out on excursions. We came back in the evening and our door was left open. Immediately went to the front desk and they said they will be on top of it! The facility is a little obslete. The resort doesn’t even have a shuttle to the airport. You must bring cash to pay for a taxi. Do not stay here.. look for a different resort or hotel Read less
