The Roosevelt is Hollywood's only historic hotel still in operation today. It hosted the first ever Academy Awards in 1929 and has seen throngs of people - including celebrities galore - pass through its doors. The hotel has even been featured in a few films and Shirley Temple took her first tap-dancing lesson on the tiled stairway! As if that's not enough, Montgomery Clift and Marilyn Monroe are reputed to haunt the joint - proof this place is too good to leave!

Perfect location at Hollywood blvd, very convenient to get to places. There are many interesting things to explore in the hotel. The security manager Bill Paz has been very helpful and very kind to show me around the hotel, and shared fascinating stories about the hotel

Cody M is the best greatest security guard EVER. so fun. Made the trip 10,000x better with his historical anecdotes. 10/10 would recommend. Give Cody M the biggest raise. Cody M dazzled our ears with hair-raising stories about the Roosevelt. What started as a fascination with architecture and history soon became a museum-worthy tour with the best…

The friendliest staff in all of LA from security, reception and servers, pool is clean, nice vibe, lots of fresh towels; gentle background music - relaxing but fun. The main area of the hotel is a slice of old Hollywood - stunning. It’s an oasis on Hollywood boulevard- the madness outside is nothing like the hotel.Definitely would go back - great…
