The hotel

A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet. The SuperFoods menu features revitalizing dishes made from healthy ingredients rich in nutrients, antioxidants and delicious taste so you can feel energized and at your best all day. If you're looking for something a bit more chilled, retire to the Chartroom Bar and Lounge where you can grab a local brew and a range of dishes, throughout the day.

This stay was seven nights and for a conference. The three issues I had were with regard to housekeeping and the level of cleanliness and the promptness (or more so lack of promptness to room issues I had), On arrival to my room (late Friday evening) I unfortunately had my bags delayed and so had minimal toiletries, so I thought that's fine I shall use the mouth wash provided to find it was opened and half used by a previous guest!! So I called and asked for a replacement and dental kit to aid my lack of delayed luggage, this took almost an hour to arrive and two further calls to followup on it. Second issue with room cleanliness was the attention to detail, no sheet changes just a making of the bed (it only does once during my seven nights) and garbage not taken on day number four and on day number five the room was not even cleaned, it seemed they just forgot. When I called to housekeeping I was told I could have a change of towels, but after insisting that no I wanted the room cleaned it was promptly done. This shouldn't have been something that happened, and no I didn't leave the do not disturb sign out accidentally. Third issue the key lock wouldn't open on evening number five, I went to reception, new keys given, no success returned to reception, another new set of keys, no success returned a third time and was advised engineering would look at the issue and to sit and wait in the foyer, after 30mintues I re approached the reception area and again went through the whole story (now the fourth person on the reception desk to assist) and was advised needed security, who then broke into my room and then had to reconfigure the door lock. This took almost an hour. My delayed luggage was delivered and for the delivery to the room I was charged a package handling fee of $16.95, with no explanation of why. Overall as a Marriot member this hotels service and cleaning was substandard and for $500p/n not what I was expecting. Everyone when approached was friendly however the room locked and housekeeping issues when raised almost seemed as though I was an inconvenience for asking for help? I wouldn't stay at this hotel again due to these issues, some of which were only evident due to the length of stay Read less

However, the hotel staff were accommodating and moved us to a new room, though a few small items were inadvertently discarded in the process. Despite these initial hiccups, the overall experience was satisfactory. I want to express my gratitude to Gerardo Coria, whose exceptional friendliness and helpfulness greatly enhanced my stay. The hotel's location was convenient, with enjoyable walks right outside the door, and the Sweet Room offered a pleasant view. Read less

Enjoyed the filtered water, the convenient sensor light in the bathroom, the luxurious linen, and the breathtaking view of the water from the newly renovated room. I would come back and stay here again! Was here for a conference and i appreciate the elevators were FAST!

I went to a convention in March and the hotel was in terrible condition upon arrive on Thursday , everything felt or was already broken and the elevators were always full or not functional. Multiple times a day I had to climb the stairs all the way up to my room on the 27th floor, It was super exhausting.
