The rooms were absolute luxury (we were in the bush lodge), as was the central Lodge area. The food was very good too, with plenty of wines and beers on all inclusive which was fantastic. In reality though, this is the secondary reason you go somewhere like this! The main reason is to see the animals and Pumba didn’t disappoint. We thought our guide Stemi was fantastic, and we were lucky enough to be the only two in his car for the four days we were here – what a treat! Pumba is seriously big and really feels like the animals are in their natural habitat – it is also truly beautiful. We saw 4 of the Big 5 – only missing out on Buffalo, but that isn’t a problem, its just a reason to come back! Our leopard sighting was incredible as it sat down right in front of us – we felt incredibly lucky. All in all, an absolutely superb experience – we would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back. Read less

The service by all the staff was exceptional and for food there was lots of choice and all of excellent standard. The game drives were fabulous our ranger was very knowledgeable and we saw all manner of animals and birds and even when it was raining they give you a waterproof jacket which keeps you nice and cosy. Our room had its own plunge pool and you can sit on the balcony and watch the animals visiting the watering hole. The monkeys love to come and see you but don;t leave your door unlocked or they will get in!!! If you get to go I would definitely recommend it. Read less

If you are thinking about doing a safari I could not recommend highly enough. The expertise of the safari guides, the accommodation, staff, food and facilities are 1st rate. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Our delightful lodge overlooked the plain, where each day we were spoilt with the sight of many different animals strolling past, from the entertaining Warthogs, majestic elephants to the graceful giraffe. We went on 6 game drives and saw close up the “big 5” Our Ranger Denise was extremely knowledgable, ensuring we gat to see all of the animals. The refreshment stops were a nice touch, our final one in amongst herds of zebra & giraffe. The food and atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. Every member of staff that we met were excellent and could not do enough to make sure the stay was enjoyable - an example of this was for lunch one day we went across to the Water Lodge and were treated with the same friendly manner even though we were only there for a couple of hours. Would thoroughly recommend if you are looking to safari in comfort. Read less

The walls were glass so you could - if you wanted- sit in the bath and watch the wildlife go past. From our room we saw giraffe, warthog, various antelope and one morning 4 lions strolled across the area. Each day - in the morning (early) and the early evening you can go out on a jeep safari with a driver/guide. The jeeps carry a maximum of 8 but we only had 4 in ours. The drivers are very knowledgeable about the wildlife, and spent lots of time going to areas they thought would be interesting. We saw all the big 5 - including a leopard, loads of elephants, giraffe and some white rhino. Towards the end of each session they would stop and set-up a table with tea/coffee/drinks etc and nibbles - on the afternoon ones alcohol was also available. Care needed to be taken as there are no 'comfort stops' on these trips and they vary from 2.5 to 3 hours. The dining room had a fabulous aspect over the reserve and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was varied and generally well prepared and served. Our package was all inclusive so we had free rein on alcohol all day - but were remarkable restrained given the early starts each morning. I cannot recommend this place enough - we had 3 nights- which was probably enough as part of a longer holiday. Read less
