The first leg of our honeymoon was in Singapore...after a short flight and a pick-up from Krabi airport we arrived to the beautiful Tubkaak Hotel and WHAT an experience it was. The welcome we had was simply beautiful - with cool scented towels and refreshments. We were then shown to our beautiful room with the bed covered in rose petals and a bathtub also with rose petals in it. Never had such a wonderful welcome before. The food at both restaurants was incredible although I do also recommend heading up the beach to a fantastic restaurant which looks out onto the sea...sorry can't remember the name of it but it was so beautiful. Finally, a MUST is to take a private boat tour out to Hong Island and the surrounding islands. Simply magical. This message is to thank all of the staff and the manager Jan for such a perfect honeymoon. Can't express enough how grateful we are. Read less

We spent 4 days at this beautiful resort and dearly wish we spent more time there. The staff were always pleasant and the food was fantastic. If you ever plan to stay here, keep at least two days with no other plans than to enjoy the resort, the food, and the beautiful beach.

The hotel accommodated us last minute (literally) and the staff even managed to prepare our room with a beautifully decorated bed and complimentary bottle of wine. We had the private pool villa for the last 7 nights of our 19night stay in Thailand and it was heaven. Complimentary soft drinks and beer every day in our mini bar and plenty complimentaey bottles of water every day. The grounds are immaculate. The staff could not have been more friendly. Food is great with choice of Thai restaurant or Italian for dinner and lots of western food for lunch if you feel like a break from thai food. Overall the atmosphere of this hotel is just so relaxing and romantic. Happy hour from 5-6 looking out on the sun set was just incredible. Just stunning! Complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking lots of fun. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay and for making our honeymoon so special. Read less

Myself and my husband stayed at the Tubkaak Resort for 7 nights in the premier pool villa, as the last stop on our honeymoon. We were given a warm welcome, and were provided with a cold drink and refreshing towel. One of the reception staff showed us around and gave us some information such as free activities available as well as paid for activities, before taking us to our room. As part of the premier pool villa option we had free daily mini bar which was very nice to have. The room was gorgeous, with vaulted ceilings, double sink in the bathroom, Bose speaker system, TV, nespresso coffee machine, plus outdoor bath and private pool. The only thing that it was missing was the outdoor shower that a lot of the other rooms seem to have. The room was cleaned daily, as well as evening turn down service which we rarely had as we were in the room. One thing I did find annoying was the fact that the outside decking area was not swept, so had loads of leaves laying about, as well as constant letters being left about missing the turn down service. We understood that the first time we received it. As it was our honeymoon, the bed was decorated with flower petals on our arrival, as well as being given a free 60 minute Thai massage each. We also had 6000 baht free credit to use, but not certain if that was a one off or if everyone gets that. The staff in the resort are very friendly and greet you/smile as you walk past or arrive at/leave the restaurants. However despite the hotel being half empty, it could still be a struggle to get a drink etc in the restaurant - mainly the Arundina (Thai). For some reason they also took the drinks menus away every time you ordered a drink. The Italian was nice and was generally less busy. Unfortunately as we went during the rainy season it pretty much rained constantly whilst we were there. There isn’t much to do at the hotel during these periods, as the rain can and did come down extremely hard. It would be good if they could provide some more indoor activities. Not sure if it was as a result of the weather, but we did notice a lot of rubbish on the beach as well, which I would have thought someone would have been out there collecting. A couple of nights they had some entertainment on which was finished by about 9pm. A guy called Stevie C and a guitar/singing duo. Everything shuts up by 11pm ish, so you would need to go into the local town (which isn’t very close by) if you want to stay out past this time. One last gripe was the checkout - despite spending what I think is a considerable amount of money on the upgrade to the pool villa, they wanted a further £125 to keep the room on for 6 hours. Again the hotel was half empty, so most likely had not sold the room if we had the option to keep it on. We ended up paying £50 to move rooms to a courtesy room which was about the size of a postage stamp. Looks like you could actually pay to stay in that room, but I don’t know why as you would be pretty disappointed. Overall I would recommend the hotel for couples mainly. There were people who took their children but there isn’t anything for children to do, so I wouldn’t suggest it is a good hotel for families. Everyone is friendly, rooms are beautiful, food in the restaurant and drinks are very tasty (and we didn’t think was that costly except for bottles of wine), flowers are placed everywhere (even in the ash trays!) - including in the rooms, lovely main pool area and beautiful beach (when the rubbish is removed). If you want a relaxing and romantic holiday then book this hotel. Read less
