We spent 6 nights at the hotel and had a lovely time. The staff were always on hand and were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The resort itself is beautiful. If you are looking for a luxury resort setting then this will not disappoint. The beach is very private and there is plenty of room. Importantly, there was no bun fight for sun loungers by the pool or reserving of loungers by people putting towels down. Simply, people came and went as they pleased and it never felt crowded. The massages we had (highly recommend the oil massage) come at London prices, but the quality of the massage was top notch. One of the best I have ever had. We enjoyed the oil massage so much that we went back the next day for a Thai massage. The one word of warning is that the food and drink prices at both restaurants are expensive - London prices plus a bit. All the food we had was very nice, but spending so much money every day being in Thailand (famed for its affordable food and drink) at an already expensive resort took the sheen off things somewhat. The only other thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the slightly mixed messages about the resort being adults only during Nov - Feb. There were several groups of families with children during our stay and the pool area is so quiet and serene that the introduction of kids (rightfully wanting to have fun and make noise) does not really mix well with the environment. But all in all, it really delivers as a boutique, luxury, beautiful and relaxing experience. Read less

We stayed in a beachfront villa with its own infinity pool, outdoor stone tub and shower. Lovely place, lovely staff, good food. Spa on premises. Be advised there’s no walking area around many of the resorts, you have to take a Tuk-tuk to wander. But you can wander on the beautiful beach to your heart’s content!

The air con worked well and the room had a nice view of the pool. The staff were brilliant, always attentive and at hand to help. The hotel offered water sports for free. The beach was sandy, quiet and the view was heavenly. The pool was large, though it could of done with more seats. Especially in the areas where the sun shone the most. The food was outstanding and well priced. The drinks were also well priced and had regular happy hours. The breakfast was top notch with plenty of variety. Overall the hotel was a pleasure to stay at and we didn't want to leave. If you want activities it's probably not the best place to stay but if you want to enjoy luxury when doing very little there can't be many better spots. Read less

Pros: excellent beach, good Thai food at restaurant, outstanding spa and massage Cons: expensive for what you get, very uneven service, shows its age, feels crowded as villas are very close to each other Summary: a 3-4 star resort at 5 star prices. Below par service and management
