The hotel

Fairmont Palliser first opened its doors to guests in 1914 as one of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Hotels. Today it’s one of Calgary’s landmark buildings, offering a superb range of amenities and luxury accommodation in the heart of downtown. Dining at the Rimrock is essential whilst here, an incredible Tudor-style restaurant with barrelled ceilings and massive stone fireplace. Where is it

In the centre of town and connected to attractions via the Plus 15 Walkway system. Another city landmark, the Calgary Tower, is just next door. Transfer time from Calgary Airport: 25 minutes.

Junior Suites are ideal for families, with either 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

1 Bedroom Suites have a spacious seating area with large windows and a separate bedroom area with bathroom. With either 1 king-size bed and a double sofa bed or 1 queen-size bed and a double sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Fairmont Gold Rooms are found on a private concierge floor with upgraded services and amenities. Rooms are newly renovated and complete with modern business amenities including a CD player/alarm radio, complimentary shoeshine and nightly turndown service, morning delivery of coffee, tea or juice and choice of newspaper. In both of our two stays, we found the historic hotel to be exceptional. The feel is of comfortable luxury with engaged service. It has a fantastic location in the heart of Calgary and offers services one would expect of a grand hotel. Despite its age, the hotel is stylish and in great shape.

We had the best time here, everyone was the kindest, Neha, Vanessa and the whole crew where wonderful with the hospitality, the room was very pretty with a big bathroom, the bed very comfy and the building is wonderful and very well located. We went for n our honeymoon and I couldn’t think of a more romantic place.

We recently booked a staycation at the Fairmont Palliser for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 6 and 8). We loved the great location of the hotel-- walking distance to so many places downtown. The kids had a blast at the pool, and we all found our room very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay!

Was here as an employee from another hotel the Fairmont Lake Louise. Hawthorne has great breakfast and Dinner. Renatta is a great server. Also Trent from check in was great. Hotel is clean has great hot tub and pool and I was fortunate enough to be upgraded.
