Let's get straight to the point. Avoid this hotel if you can. Staff that lies to you just can not be accepted by any means. What happened? While checking out there was an open bill (like normal, restaurant, minibar, lobby bar consumption etc). So we wanted to cover the expenses with our credit card (not american express but VISA). And the answer was: we dont take credit card. The entire system in the country is down. Cash only!! Seriously? Yes was the answer and the receptionist insisted to see cash only. Two hours later in Varadero, checking in in a Hotel, we asked the reception if the credit card payment system may be down? they said: no of course not, has never been the last few month. And our credit card worked just fine that afternoon in Varadero, in any shop!! So either the receptionist was just lazy to swipe a card or is forced by the management for what ever reason. So for me, this is a total no go.. you just dont lie to customers. Would I recommend this hotel:, never ever to anyone. Read less

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in the modern building. The facilities and room are clean and modern. All the concierges and hotel staff were friendly and helpful in booking taxis, tours and directing us to must see sites and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a currency exchange and two pools which is very useful. Location is also ideal as it is very central which makes it easy to see Havana in 2 days. One of the minor downside of the hotel for us was the breakfast. There isn’t that great a variety available for vegetarians other than bread and eggs. You can get made to order omelettes at the omelette station but as all are cooked on the same grill, it wasn’t an option for us. Other than this, bread is freshly made and for non-vegetarians it is a good selection. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. Read less
