The hotel

With its high-end design, jaw-droppingly gorgeous spa, 24-hour gym, and dazzling dining spots, this sophisticated adults only hotel wouldn’t look out of place in one of the world’s cool cities (think Miami or LA) – of course, you won’t be disappointed to find yourself along Doctor’s Cave Beach instead. The incredible location on the palm-fringed sands mean you get stunning views from the rooftop Sky Deck – with its glass-enclosed pool, comfy cabanas, and Jamaican-tapas menu. If you’d rather be nearer the sands, S Hotel Montego Bay also comes with an equally enticing beachside pool with daybeds, a pool bar, and a trendy vibe with a DJ playing the latest sounds during the day. S Hotel has direct access to Doctor Cave beach and offers guests complimentary sun loungers and waiter service so you lie back with your toes in the sand, relax and enjoy time here too.

Hotel information

120 boutique style rooms. All with air-conditioning, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, complimentary WiFi, work desk, phone, safe, comfortable bed and blackout blinds. Mini King Rooms have interior hotel/city views, bathrooms with a stand-up shower and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. These rooms do not have a balcony or patio.


All Inclusive of: welcome drink on arrival. All meals (delicious Jamaican and international dishes created by the Executive Chef). All beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Local and premium bar included.

Deluxe Double Rooms have sea views from a furnished balcony and 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Junior Suites With Cabanas are located on the ground floor and have access to a personal cabana, bathrooms with a freestanding soaking tub and an oversized standing shower, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ocean View Junior Suites have either 1 king-size bed, or 2 double beds, and an oval-shaped soaking tub with a shower, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

One Bedroom Suites Ocean View have a separate living room, furnished balcony, 2 bathrooms and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Presidential Suite - with views of the Caribbean Sea, Doctor’s Cave Beach, and Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, the two-floor suite features 2 bedrooms, an expansive living area with dining table, a wet bar and a 55” TV, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Rock Steady (fine-dining restaurant open for dinner, featuring artisanal Jamaican and international cuisine along with live music, piano or saxophone). Marketplace (featuring fresh locally driven buffet offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily). Roots Rock - celebrates Jamaica's musical heritage and the symbols that represent the beloved island. The large mural of Jamaica's Roots Rock Reggae artists gives the impression that you are dining at an outdoor street dance. It is open for dinner daily and reservations are required. Jamrock - located on the 5th floor and has sweeping views of the ocean. It is open for dinner daily and entrées are served on heated rocks. Reservations are required. The Pool Bar & Grill (inventive craft cocktails and classic, with an all-day menu that includes snacks and sandwiches). The Lobby Bar (intimate central meeting spot, serving a selection of wines, beers and champagne). Sky Deck bar, offering light bites and libations overlooking the Instagram-worthy Sky Deck pool). Pool Bar (main pool). S Café (24-hour café offering pasties, coffee/tea).

I don’t write reviews often, but I had such a great experience at S Hotel last week that I just had to share my thoughts with others considering a stay there. My sister and I chose the S Hotel as our accommodation for our first trip to Jamaica because it was adult-only and we had heard from folks in our hometown just how authentic the overall vibe there was to Jamaica. The hotel didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, the staff were extremely hospitable, the food/drinks were delicious, and the entertainment/activities were nonstop. Oh, and the pictures you see of the pool and beach aren't photoshopped. The views are really that stunning. There are three dinner-only restaurants at the hotel, each serving menus that compete with some of the local spots. They are reservation-only but the amazing staff at the front desk made sure we got a table at each restaurant (and at our desired time) when we arrived our first day. My sister and I had a deluxe double ocean view room, and I’m so glad we made that choice. Not only were the beds comfortable and bathroom enormous, but the view of the ocean we woke up to each morning was just breathtaking. The spa experience was lovely and the women at the tour desk (Stephanie and Shadee) were awesome! They were very helpful in finding my sister and I the right activities to participate in, and genuinely cared about every moment of our experience with the tour company they suggested. They are very thoughtful/strategic about their partnerships because they want to make sure your time spent away from the hotel is just as amazing as your time on the property. My sister and I really enjoyed sitting by the pool every night after dinner to listen to the awesome band they had playing and hitting up the bar or 24/7 café for some treats before turning in. I have to shout out the Assistant Director of the hotel, Homroy! He spent over an hour taking pictures of my sister and I on the SkyDeck, in the pool, and in front of the hotel on our last day. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had the photos to remember our award-winning experience by. I can't wait to go back! Read less

The service was exceptional, my check in was smooth and easy thanks to the front desk, they were all just so friendly & welcoming. They have activities each day you can’t even run out of stuff to do . They even have (2) 24hrs pool . I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life but the rooms at this resort are so beautiful, The food throughout our stay was so delicious . I got to try all 3 restaurants the jamrock, rootstock & rocksteady it was great. The spa was so relaxing. I got a 20 min complimentary foot massage & I got to use the irie baths everyday !!!! I can’t even list out everything about this place because it was just so good . We will be returning soon. Read less

Came here on a Night Pass and enjoyed every minute of it. Dinner was unbelievable and the entertainment was top notch. Typically, all inclusive food can be hit or miss due to cooking in large quantities but I found the food here authentic, spiced the correct way and tasty. Will be back for my birthday weekend.
