Booking at the S Hotel was a splurge for me, I booked it months in advance, but it was worth every penny I spent. I hope to come back as soon as I can. Read less

From the time you enter the grounds to the very second we were off to the airport in our taxi, the staff was spectacular. We feel like we're home here. Andres, the front desk manager again showed us what it really means to "come back to Jamaica". He's the best!! I hope you have the opportunity to experience his warm smile and spirit when you visit. The location is tops. The food is excellent. The drinks are balanced and priced well. The grounds are impeccable. The sunsets are not to be missed. The Spa is splendid. The staff is amazing. Thanks again, S Hotel. Hope to see you again, soon. We'll send friends. Read less

Let me start off by saying the S Hotel is in an excellent location, right in the midst of restaurants shops and the nightlife. I will recommend this to anyone who's visiting Montego Bay this is the hotel to be at. The warm family feeling you feel when you arrive at the hotel it's like you are a long last relative that's how wonderful the staff is when you walk through the door. From taking your bags right away, handing you a drink and they ask you how was your flight they made you feel right at home. The rooms are comfortable the beds are wonderful The View is exceptional our room was overlooking the pool and the beach what a beautiful sight of the sunset. The room was truly a luxurious room from the tub to the shower my 18 month old daughter thought it was a big playground. Everyone loved my daughter they treated her like the Princess she is they waiting on her hand and foot it was so amazing and everyone knew her name she stole the show. The customer service from everyone was excellent from breakfast to lunch to dinner they serve you with such a manner of elegance they truly enjoy their job. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our trip there was out of this world I have a few names I want to mention. Tyron restaurant supervisor, Roderick MOD, Russell security guard, Meldon MOD, Hebert restaurant supervisor, Romaine Pool Chef, Stacy Ann Pool Chef, Jevaughn bartender, Antonio Bell hop, Ricardo Lawrence Bell hop, Amanda server, Samantha server, Dimara server, Daema server, Shavaughn server, , Jamila Roswell server. Without this wonderful staff this hotel will just another place to stay they make this place😘🥰😍. Read less

Hotel staff generally friendly and helpful. Hotel arranged airport pick up for us with tour operator Aldwane Birch, and he was so delightful that we used him for trips the entire time we were there (to the Houseboat (great!) and Peppers (eh food, but very cool setting) for dinner and the Rose Hall Great House for a night tour). We had just come from Ocho Rios so did not want to go all the way back for any excursions, and found that there wasn't much to do close by but lay on the beach! Nice for a long weekend adult getaway but maybe not the best for a family vacation. Read less

We stayed for 4 nights at the S Hotel in early March. From the moment of check in I could tell service was going to be excellent. A rum punch was in my hands in seconds, and we were told all about the resort. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The shower was amazing (I clearly need to do some remodeling at home). We had an ocean view King on the 2nd floor near the pool bar, so we didn't have a spectacular view, but we could see through the palm trees to the beach. I was also pleasantly surprised that even thought we were right above the restaurant/bar, when we closed our slider, there was hardly any noise, apart from an occasional car engine form the road. The pool was a great place to lounge away the day. It was never hard to get a few chairs (although the hotel was definitely not at capacity). The beach was beautiful and you can take towels from the hotel down to the beach, and get the beach club staff (not affiliated with the hotel, but you have beach club access)to set up chairs and umbrellas for you for a few $ tip. I liked that when you entered or left the beach you gave your room number/name to a staff member at the gate. Every staff member from bartenders to maids to front desk and even maintenance staff were very friendly, going out of their way to say hello or answer any questions. Regarding maintenance, I can usually judge the quality of resort management by the level of ongoing maintenance and upkeep. This hotel get top marks. There was constantly staff repainting garden borders, testing the pool water, keeping the plants healthy, etc, etc.. Regarding movement outside of the hotel, it seemed pretty safe to walk to various restaurants nearby - there were some interesting characters out and about, but no different than any other city. We went next door to Tracks and Records (Usain Bolt's Sports bar (good bar food) as well as other spots nearby). Also, you can take a taxi to a variety of places further away (Note: do not let them charge you $70-80 rt for a 10-15 minute ride. We figured out over a couple days to not pay more than $20 or so each way for rides) For those deciding between S Hotel and one of the many all-inclusives, we did some math and even though we drank every day, ate lunch by the pool every day, and ate dinner out every night, we still spent less than we would have for an all-inclusive stay. I like all-inclusives and stay in them every year or two, so not slamming them at all. Note: at the S Hotel, you just order what you want and put the tab on your room account, so you don't have to carry cash around (including tips for the bartenders and servers). Overall, we loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again when we come to Montego Bay! Read less
