The hotel

With its high-end design, jaw-droppingly gorgeous spa, 24-hour gym, and dazzling dining spots, this sophisticated adults only hotel wouldn’t look out of place in one of the world’s cool cities (think Miami or LA) – of course, you won’t be disappointed to find yourself along Doctor’s Cave Beach instead. The incredible location on the palm-fringed sands mean you get stunning views from the rooftop Sky Deck – with its glass-enclosed pool, comfy cabanas, and Jamaican-tapas menu. If you’d rather be nearer the sands, S Hotel Montego Bay also comes with an equally enticing beachside pool with daybeds, a pool bar, and a trendy vibe with a DJ playing the latest sounds during the day. S Hotel has direct access to Doctor Cave beach and offers guests complimentary sun loungers and waiter service so you lie back with your toes in the sand, relax and enjoy time here too.

This place is a great palace to stay if you are looking for a relaxing all-inclusive experience. You will have access to a nice beach and pool with plenty of areas to relax. They also have a spa and different restaurants to choose from. I took advantage of the 24 hour cafe every day, where the barista makes smoothies and different coffee drinks. The service here is excellent, and you will always have attentive staff by the beach and pool offering to bring you drinks from the bar. Everything is kept very clean and presentable as well. They have planned activities and live music every day as well. My only criticism is that I think the food could be better, but for an all-inclusive, it’s not bad. There’s some good restaurants in walking distance such as “Hunger Point” and some shops as well. Read less

My stay at S Hotel was truly an immersive journey into Jamaican culture! The pulsating rhythms of reggae and dancehall made me feel like I was right in the heart of Jamaica’s music scene. Kudos to Andre and Rashai who invited us to experience the night life as it was truly genuine and unforgettable. I can’t wait to experience this with the rest of my family and friends which will definitely be a longer stay. Read less

S Hotel Jamaica is conveniently located less than 10 minutes drive from the airport. It is a cosy boutique Hotel. S HOTEL JAMAICA IS THE BEST HOTEL AND IS THE ONLY HOTEL TO CONSIDER: FACT. S Hotel has the true flavour of Jamaican culture, cuisine, music, drink, customer service all rolled into approximately 140 rooms. I have visited many Jamaican hotels in the past, but I was always slightly unfulfilled, the food was slightly American ize, ( sorry Americans), the drink was watered down, there was no Jamaica tunes. For this trip I took the filters out and trust me I have had the best 11 nights experience EVER. The food was absolutely Jamaican, who ackee and salt fish with hard food for breakfast, there is the Jerk cabin, jerk chicken, jerk pork, jerk sausage, the jerk vibe was just sensational. The buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner was just the business, I had to skip to a meal for the sake of the belly as the belly was in its element. There is the Roots Rock restaurant ( my personal favourite), oxtail, jerk chicken, jerk pork was just a sample, served with proper RICE AND PEAS, not beans, the dessert cornmeal pudding, my grandma cooking was revisited. There are also another 2 amazing restaurants where the food is just amazing. The 24hour coffee shop, it served coffee in all its guises, smoothies, snacks, and cakes, guess where I spent time. Another favourite place of mine was the gym, I never visited a hotel gym before where the machines are all working, clean and fit for purpose. Linked to this is the Spa area, you do get a 20 minute complimentary foot massage, a great touch, there is a sauna and steam and massages available. A nice touch once you check in is a snack box and welcome, looking after their guests is the S strong suit. The rooms are just stunning, modern design with touches of Jamaican art, photos and turntable which is just for show, the oversize shower is just spectacular, a sit down shower, a rainfall shower, impressive yes it is. The Jamaican roots of this Hotel is enhanced by the National Heroes sculptures on each floor to enlighten us of the Jamaican history and the special Jamaicans, Bob, Cliff and Usain, by the way his restaurant is 2 minutes away. I must not forget the staff, they are all a credit, smiling, helpful and nothing and I mean nothing is a problem, you will feel you are a part of the family S, big shout out to Kumari, reception, Jaedine, and Shamonequa, my 24 hour cappuccino girls, Kedeesha and Keishe my massage girls, hands are so gentle, Demara, always smiling, chef Anthony my fried egg specialist and Latoya my fellow November birthday girl, DJ Spookly who knows how to spin tunes and Rashai and Andre who both know how to keeps engaged and entertainer, not forgetting the Saturday nightclub, SERIOUSLY FELLOW TRAVELLERS I HAD EVERYTHING HERE, NO NEED TO CONSIDER ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THE AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN VIBE, I did shed a tear and was emotional when I left, I WILL RETURN Read less
