Playacar Palace is our home away from home. A small resort compared to other Palace resorts gives it a more personal feeling. Our favorite, warm and friendly Lupita at the guest service desk, made making all of our spa service and tour appointments so easy. A relaxing day at the pool wouldn’t be complete with out the attentive and pleasant service of Perla, Basilio and Ignacio. We look forward to seeing them every visit and catching up. Artemis and Juliessa at the Del Mar cafe gave us outstanding service and pleasantries. I love having my wood burning pizzas made by the exceptional Alfredo. The Japanese Momo restaurant serves a good variety of options. Salvador went out of his way to find me a flavor of ice cream from a different restaurant and to bring it to me at our table. Lastly, Playacar is a warm, inviting smaller resort for a relaxing experience with the added feature of having the town of Playa del Carmen to visit and shop plus it is closely situated to the ferry terminal for a day trip to Cozumel. Cant wait to go back. If I had to make one change to the resort, it would be that it had an actual sit down Mexican restaurant like Moon and Cozumel Palaces do. Read less

We traveled to Playacar Palace for 10 nights in Oct. Eder the new Diamond Concierge took care of everything! Upon arrival we were given the results of all of his hard work and he hit it out of the park! Everything was planned perfect. We didn’t have a single thing that wasn’t taken care of. His new position fits him perfect! We had dealt with him as the pool concierge and to see him given the opportunity to advance in his career is great! If going be sure and enjoy the Italian restaurant,Bocelli! The manager Daniel has put together a team that is so cohesive and like minded that you can not help but have a meal that is the best. What’s nice is the way the menu is set up if you do all the courses they combine to be a meal to be raved about. If you want just the mains you can order just them or pick a couple and feel the love the chef has sprinkled in! Nayell is a remarkable chef and knows her stuff! Luis,Ricardo,Abner, Dabur and Felix deliver her creations with such professionalism that you feel like you are the only people there yet they do it with each table! The choices are great and the portions are perfect. The location on Playacar can not be beat, shopping is right there and Cozumel is just a short ferry ride away for a day trip. We can not wait to return, see you in June! Read less
