We booked this holiday through secret escapes. Could not fault the BA flight. On arrival we were taken to our room and told there were 3 pools( also stated on the SE advertisement). The hotel does have a courtesy bus to Pidgeon Point on the Carribean side which is more sheltered.only one trip each way on any day . 1000& return@1600hrs. It's worth it though. Positives clean, good food ,Staff very good but do have their idiosyncraties!! You need to book in advance for the fine dining and Italian restaraunt but it was no issue. There were really good lunches on offer, the golf was good,so on the whole 6/10. Read less

We took advantage of free golf, course is a bit tired, the greens needed attention but again the views and wildlife whilst walking around this course are stunning. We also used the free bicycles great fun. Overall a fabulous week, most of the staff were very very good. Read less

Best for food were buffet for breakfast and Robinson Crusoe pub or Salaka for lunch. Dinner at Kalina was delicious. Buffet food good too just is a buffet and I prefer service. Rooms were big, clean and large balcony. Specify at check-in if you want sun on balcony. We didn’t but it didn’t bother us. Beach was clean and comfy beds available. Same pool side. All beds could do with replacing, some more comfortable than others but didn’t detract from a perfect holiday. Yes, overall hotel is a little tired but everything else outweighs that to make it a great place to stay. Island holiday at its best. Read less

We were a little concerned about some of the reviews we read before staying at the Magdalena, however we had a very pleasant stay and felt that many of the negative reviews had been hugely overstated, quite unfounded and vicious at times. Staff were lovely and friendly without being over bearing. Food was excellent with enough choices available in the 4 restaurants. Inclusive wine was good and the pina colada’s and rum punch from the bar in evening were superb. Really comfortable beds and hot shower, a room with a stunning view and the sound of the waves to send us to sleep at night. Tobago is an unspoilt and unsophisticated island and the hotel reflects that, get out and explore the island and you won’t be disappointed at the welcome you receive Read less
