I was looking for a hotel on Ocean Drive for a couple of nights that wasn’t going to break the bank. The location is great, with all the classic hotels and bars and easy walk away. I was looking for a hotel on Ocean Drive for a couple of nights that wasn’t going to break the bank. The location is great, with all the classic hotels and bars and easy walk away. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were always cheerful and very helpful with enquiries, particularly regarding local excursions. My only criticism would be the included breakfast, which is outsourced to the restaurant downstairs, it’s a bit limited compared to the offering to paying outsiders, no bacon for example. Pros: The front desk was amazing, in specialty Mr Pino, super friendly. The location is very good, right in front of the beach, free amenities like coffee and tea, also, free bikes. Cons: The hotel is a little bit old, although the restroom is refurbished, the room and the floor is old and inappropriate.

Check in OK but no information given to what we could use - ie each towels, beach chairs and found these out from previous reviews or discounts at other venues so we didn't get them. The room was lovely and our request for a quiet one was honoured. Not being a coffee drinker the availability of fresh hot water in the room would have been appreciated as we had to run the coffee machine through a few times to get non coffee tasting drinks but the selection of teas were great. The position was perfect and we would return if we came to South Beach again. Read less
