The majesty and grandeur of the great American Northwest echo throughout this relaxing mountain retreat and will appeal to every member of the family. Bubbling springs, authentic Native American carvings and an inspiring décor take you back in time to the historic national park lodges of yesteryear. Scenic wonders are everywhere, from fantastically themed restaurants to an amazing geyser faithfully shooting water 12-storeys high every hour! An announcement came over the speakers in the hallways to evacuate without using the elevators. Unfortunately once we left the building there were NO staff to direct guests, or let us know what was going on. Two staff members left the building with us but them walked AWAY!! No employees were at ANY entrance as we had to walk around the entire build to get to the main entrance. Many guests just started walking back into the building. As a teacher and very used to fire drills this was an epic fail on their part. There should have been someone at each entrance guiding guests and letting us know what was going on. Read less

When I stay in a hotel paying $500 a night…I expect the basics….you know…food. It’s outrageous that no food is available after 11pm so…if you come back from the park and your kids are hungry…too bad. No vending machines…nothing. The front desk is helpful…they tell you, “call GrubHub”….except that nothing is available on property….so no food. At… Read more

I love the Wilderness Lodge. My wife and I have stayed there several times. Any resort that features Humphrey Bear as its mascot is A-OK in my book. But in all seriousness, quick boat access to the Magic Kingdom plus two great on-site restaurants make this an easy choice for

Everything was perfect! I just wish more options on the restaurants' menu. But the food was great and the Whispering Canyon experience either during breakfast or dinner was amazing! We had made dining reservations for 7 people (4 adults, 3 children) 60 days on advance. The reservation was scheduled for 8:30pm. We felt that was really late, but the kids could have a snack beforehand. So at 8:10 we signed in for our table because to can do that 20 minutes beforehand. 8:30PM came and went, 8:40pm; no table. We felt that was really late, but the kids could have a snack beforehand. So at 8:10 we signed in for our table because to can do that 20 minutes beforehand. 8:30PM came and went, 8:40pm; no table. At 8:50 we went to the check in desk. We were told it would be at least 20 more minutes! We decided to wait because my grandkids really really wanted to stay to meet Snow White. At 9:20pm we still had no table. Checked in again and were told they had no idea when we could be seated because two larger groups of people stayed longer than expected. After discussing the issue with very very disappointed and hungry kids, we decided to not wait any longer. We told the check in desk we'd have to leave and we're treated with. Ok. You're reservation is cancelled. No apology or emotion from them. Off we went to the other restaurant at the lodge. They could seat us, but not for 20 to 25 more minutes. By that time we were quite hangry and left to go out to the outdoor bar and grill. We had to sit at two separte tables there but at last able to oder. Mind you, by the time we got our food it was 10:30pm with three little kids. We have notified WDW about the issue and were told they'd speak to the staff. Such horrible customer service. I would never recommend any of the Wilderness Lodge restaurants. None had good food. Read less
