Paradise Cove

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, S.T.A.Y bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

On our last day check-out was early and left us with a few hours at the hotel grounds waiting for our transfer. We had payed, deliverd our keys and signed out.... But the staff still took VERY good care of us: even recieved an endless stream of free drinks. Rooms were lovely and clean. Everything was perfect <3 We promised Michael we´d mention him in our review. A bit late now, perhaps, as we stayed there in July 2016 :p (The choise for "when did you travel" on Tripadvisor didn´t go as far back as 2016 though, so that¨s not accurate ;) )But anyways: Thanks to Michael and the rest of the staff for making our honeymoon perfect! We will be back for sure <3 Read less

We arrived late and had a little trouble with a cat in our loft space....it was not problem they moved us immediately and upgraded us to a nicer room. It was funny as we was saying we do not want to move because we like the view, but the next room was even better. The rooms are a little tired but to be honest it did not seem to matter as they were really quirky...however we was informed that they was closing down in the following weeks for refurbishment. NO FIGHTING FOR SUNBEDS YAY....they are plentiful however the ones down by the sea usually get taken. Infinity pool gorgous lovely views. Entertainment very relaxed....no bopping around here. Afternoon tea served every day which is good. Staff excellent. Took a taxi down to the town 500 from the hotel 200 if you walk out on to the road. All in all a lovely relaxed hotel. Would of like to have seen some frilled fish on the menu but in all happy with our holiday. Read less

I felt I had to leave a review, having just returned from Paradise Cove. I initially had some concerns, as I knew it was about to be refurbished and I had a read a very negative review from someone who had been last month. All I can say is that some people will find something to moan about, even when they are presented with paradise! The location of the hotel is unbelievable - if I go to heaven, I really hope that it looks like that! There is so much attention to detail in the beautiful layout of the grounds - palm trees everywhere, a beautiful waterfall and lots of private little areas to relax in total peace. The rooms are a little rustic, but if you just want soulless bling in your hotel room, in my opinion you should go to a big corporate hotel in Dubai! As many people have stated, the staff are incredible at this hotel. They will do anything to help and genuinely want to make your stay as special as possible. We hired a car and Sam, the food and beverages manager not only organised a picnic lunch for us to take with an hours' notice, but insisted on helping us with a route and advice for our journey. On our last night, Deepak saved us a table in the restaurant right by the water and when we got there, he had decorated it with flowers! These are just two examples of many many kindnesses that the staff showed us. Many thanks to Mehan also and to Daniela, both of whom were so kind. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay at Paradise Cove - a truly special place. Read less
