Paradise Cove

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, Stay Bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

The room was beautifully decorated with a stunning view of the lagoon. All of the restaurants - there were four to choose from - delivered fantastic food, each with its own theme and cuisine. The views from the bar out over the reef were beautiful and the all-day inclusive service of drinks to the sunbed was delivered with a smile by Michael who always seemed to know when you needed a refill. We didn't actually do much except rest and relax, but I enjoyed the snorkling trip out over the reef and the glass bottom boat ride. The spa was also nicely presented and giving very relaxing massages. All in all - a lovely stay and highly recommend. Read less

We stayed there for around 10 days and everything was great! The rooms are very nice and clean and due to the small hotel we had more than enough privacy. The pool area „in front“ of the sea could be a bit bigger but the rest is just amazing. We liked the concept of à la carte and buffet in the evening and we have to highlight that the food quality was very good - especially we liked the „Indian buffet night“. We can recommend the couple massage in front of the sea and other Spa treatments like Manicure. The ladies did a great job! Moreover, for my boyfriends birthday I organized a „You&Me“ Moment“ which was provided by the hotel and all of them helped to make it a wonderful day! He even received a birthday cake in the evening! You can really see that the whole stuff is doing their best, no one ever passed and did not say „hi“ - really nice! We would come again! :) Read less

We came and stayed in paradise Cove for the second week of our Honeymoon, and WOW what an experience. We arrived the day after it had re-opened so it was all very quiet to start with, although this just made it feel more intimate! We had a Junior Suite, which was stunning, and wonderfully located. The room was spacious and well equipped – the two showerheads were a lovely touch! The hotel itself was stunning, and clearly very recently renovated. We loved staying in the love nests during the day, and there always seemed to be some available, which was great. The food was amazing – we certainly never felt hungry too as the portions were huge! We tried the main restaurant, the Cove, and had a romantic dinner in one of their love nests on the last night. We also had a romantic breakfast whilst we were there, which was very enjoyable. The staff were all fabulous – Ludovic on the bar always brought us our favourite drinks. The staff on the front desk – Steffi, Vikram and Danielle were also great before and during our stay. We did a sunset cruise on our last night, which was beautiful, although it finished at a different hotel, which we weren’t aware of, and no one seemed to know when/if our taxi had been arrived – alas the taxi arrived but this was a bit of an awkward 20 minutes waiting! We also did a glass bottom boat ride and saw a turtle and plenty of fish! A truly wonderful week in a beautiful country, staying in the most incredible and beautiful hotel! Total luxury. Read less

We had the half board package and the food in the Dining Room was excellent. The overall feel of the hotel is light, airy and modern and the rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The location is in a very quiet part of the island with limited things to do within walking distance but we were ok with mainly staying in the resort as there are a number of lovely swimming pools. I also had a wonderful massage at the spa which was perfect! All of the staff were very friendly and made our stay extra special. Michael was particularly brilliant and brought us drinks by the pool and would even offer to clean our sunglasses! He really stood out as someone who went over and above for guests. Thank you Michael! Read less
