Paradise Cove

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, S.T.A.Y bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

To mention 2 by name - Michael the barman with his wonderful beach and pool service (including cucumber for your eyes and sunglasses cleaning service) and Sam the restaurant manager who seems to be there 24 hours a day .There are many other members of staff worthy of mention but I'll leave a fuller review once we get home! Wonderful holiday so far! Read less

OK. So my wife and I have been to Mauritius 5 times - we love it there. So decided to give Paradise Cove a try. The room we had was on first floor. The main key element of room was the bed was huge however the room felt old with old fashioned period type decoration. We had a welcome drink on second evening which was interesting. We met the Deputy Manager (Manager nowhere to be seen) who asked if everything was OK? We explained that we had a few issues - 1.could we get a second lounger on our balcony? 2.we had a huge wasps nest in a tree near our balcony and could hotel move it? The result was we never got the extra lounger and it took them 5 days to remove the nest - Not impressed!! The main restaurant was good however the menu never changed. That said they would cook anything you wanted - would recommend the king prawns (had them 5 nights which became a bit ridiculous!! One great thing about the place is that you don't pay for the Bali Beds although you've got to be up early to get one. Downside to this resort is if you like a beach forget Paradise Cove since it does not have one. Pools are nice though. Finally to answer my Subject Question - Would We Return? Answer - No. Let down by Restaurant Fixed Menu and Deputy Managers Attitude to our problems... Read less

From start to finish they were brilliant, helping me discreetly with the whole surprise, going out of their way to make the whole thing special and individual (they even helped to make a sign for me, amongst many other things). They were all fantastic, just some of the names I remember who I want to thank are Prakesh, Reemy, Sandy, Daniella, Arabella and Dikshay, but I am massively grateful to all of the staff who worked tirelessly there to make the holiday one my partner and I will never forget, We will be back for sure. If you are looking for partys and disco boozy nights this is not the place. love… Read more

The pool is small but nicely laid out. We are thinking of returning at some point in the near future. Read less

We went all inclusive and would definitely recommend this. The pools are stunning and had great views. There are plenty of sunbeds and some nice quiet places to sunbath. The beach is beautiful but lots of crabs. We had a lizard in our room but the staff were quick to respond to remove this for us. We both had a treatment and enjoyed it very much. Great evening entertainment and very relaxing. Could not recommend this hotel enough. Thank you for a brilliant honeymoon. Read less
