Reception was very welcoming and extremely helpful whilst checking in Food choices are plenty and they even allow outside restaurants to delivery if you fancy something else. Pool was great and plenty of sun beds and free towels The view from the back of the hotel was along a river which was pretty amazing for some photographs Room was a good size and the facility were great. Bed was very comfortable with the mattress Breakfast was amazing, plenty of variety to choose from Defiantly would stay here again and would highly recommend staying here, even for just 1 night to experience the amazing facility! Stayed here for 2 weeks whilst in Abu Dhabi, location - only a 15 min drive from the airport and just by the grand mosque. First impressions as you walk in the building is beautiful, the door men and reception are all very polite professional and helpful. We had a large room with 2 double beds, large bathroom with bath and separate shower and a balcony that looked over the pool. The pool itself was great a perfect way to cool down from the heat. The pool guys were amazing attending to your every need, ( a massive thanks to them) they bring you iced buckets with water bottles, cold towels, and fruit. You can order food to have by the pool which is tasty. We walked across to the private beach which is well kept, great for children look at shells, and the temperature of the water is like that of a hot bath!! We ate mainly in the hotel restaurant ‘giornotte’ both breakfast and dinner were fantastic, always well presented and tasted great what ever dishes you choose to try. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. Even though the hotel has a large number of guests staying the staff would remember your name and drinks orders, and take the time to have a chat with you. A special mention to Vikas who our daughter ( age 10) took s shine too, he was very attentive and told us of local places to visit. Our daughter has a diary allergy, and they went out of their way to make sure she was catered for. Whilst there we meet the executive chef and the GM of the hotel who both made you feel welcome. Thank you for a great stay. Read less

I had the misfortune of staying at the Ritz Carlton with my wife. What struck us quite quickly was that the service attitude of the staff was truly poor. With the exception of the housekeeping staff and one associate who took us on his electric car to the adult pool, who both showed genuine friendliness and care, the staff seemed not very interested in their guests, and often preferred to chat amongst themselves. This was acutely apparent in the club lounge, where orders took forever, because, well, the staff had to first exchange, what must have been extremely important totally work related topics…. Same at breakfast in the main restaurant: staff does not greet, staff does not smile, someone (?) called „Iryna“ from Ukraine or somewhere, who appeared like a humanoid robot was very efficient in clearing the table, but apparently didn’t have the speaking and smiling apps loaded. The Club lounge: based on reports I read before I did not expect too much, but I must say I didn’t expect it to be *this* underwhelming. The hot options were solid. Not exciting, but solid (still: what business do preprocessed factory Potato-croquettes for 1 dollar per bag have in a 5 star lounge?) , the cold options uninspiring, the sandwiches a sad joke. But the worst was the bread. The „baguette“ and the bread rolls apparently came from the regional bread factory, with „ I was still frozen last night“ written all over them. Unbelievable… The price for the club lounge at check in: 450 AED ++ (so around 540 AED net). If it wasn’t for drinks included in the package: Not worth it. We had a Junior Suite. The suite was very junior and other than the other rooms didn’t have a balcony (even though the room pictures showed some. It also didnt have the advertised 85 sqm (I know because our apartment has that size, and it’s bigger) What I learned to appreciate in luxury hotels are the insanely large (or shall I say: Luxurious?) bathrooms. Here? Not so much. The bathroom was rather small. Other design features which made us wonder „what are they thinking“ are tinted glass windows to make sure, your better half wakes up when you visit the loo. Alternatively take the guest bathroom outside. But as the door to the other room is not dampened expect to wake up your better half with a loud wood-on-wood noise. „What are they thinking“. In summary: This one is very high on our „never visit again“ list. My better half and I found the hotel so bad, it made us angry. Our thinking was validated, when we visited Grosvenor House in Dubai the following day. THAT was five star. The RC Abu Dhabi? Not so much. In our view the worst 5 star hotel in Abu Dhabi. Read less

I enjoyed a 2 night staycation here over the Eid break with my wife and 10 month old daughter. Warm welcome on arrival from the friendly valet team and the first impressions of the resort were very positive. Attractive, imposing property. Check in was slightly slower than normal but the staff were paying lots of attention to my little one while the process completed with Huguette on front desk. Since the hotel was only 60% occupied I was slightly surprised not be offered an upgrade to a Suite as a Platinum Bonvoy member. Also the Club Lounge was additional charge but I think this might be standard with Ritz-Carlton vs other Marriott Group properties. However the Deluxe Room we were allocated was perfectly comfortable, well appointed with a large bathroom and excellent views over the pool and canal. Everything else about our stay was great, mostly due to the staff at the pool and in particular in the club lounge where Carolina look after us so well. She is a credit to the hotel. We also enjoyed a delicious and excellent value meal at Ji Liang Chinese restaurant. We would certainly consider returning here in future. Read less
