Where is it

Located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi are both a 20 minute drive away. Transfer time from Abu Dhabi International Airport: 25 minutes.

288 rooms, suites and villas. All with air-conditioning, balcony (subject to availability), flat-screen TV, WiFi access, marble floors, personal fridge and mini-bar (stocked with a selection of soft drinks and beer per day). Deluxe Rooms Garden View with oversized bay windows and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

Premium Pool Access Rooms are located on the edge of the hotels pool, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

One Bedroom Family Suites with either garden, pool or partial sea views, have 1 king-size bed in the bedroom and living room with 1 sofa bed (180cm X 150cm), sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults.

One Bedroom Family Suites Pool Access with 1 king-size bed in the bedroom, living room with 1 sofa bed (180cm X 150cm) and a balcony with direct access to the swimming pool, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults.

Two Bedroom Family Rooms with 2 king-size beds sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child or 5 adults.

Club Prive by Rixos Villas (3 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 6 adults and 1 child), Superior Villas (4 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 8 adults and 1 child or 9 adults) and the Presidential Suite (2 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child or 5 adults) are also available.

It's difficult to find the words to describe my experience of staying in Rixos hotel. First of all I'd like to tell thanks to AFOM Isabell and GRM Patricia who were fighting with the system and honestly tried to make our staying acceptable. Unfortunately, they couldn't save the situation. 1. After confirmation letter from the hotel the system didn't show my status within the Accor group. No welcome fruits, no welcome card from GM. Over the last years I always had the pleasure to have a conversation with the GM and sharing my experience. Not so this time, even asking a couple of times if he's available it was ignored. 2. The Rixos is promoted by Accor as Luxury level. Sorry,but that should be reviewed and maybe adjusted. The room looks pretty poor and small. Instant coffee, poor minibar and shabby carpet by the bed is definetley not what you expect on that level. There's a huge trouble with water pressure in the shower - couple times a day you just don't get any water for few minutes. Engineer who came to fix the problem said that "there should be some DUST in SHOWER HEAD" and of course didn't succeed in fixing the problem. 3. Laundry service made me think that I'm staying in 3 star hotel. In the rules it was written that the clothes come back same day if dropped off before 10.00am. Sorry, guys, 7pm the next day after calling is pretty late and doesn't justify the express surcharge. Moreover, you should bring it back without call and question "Where's my clothes??" 4. It's first time in my life (I've spent half of my life in the hotels) when in-room service asks me how do I pay for a bottle of sparkling water - card or cash. Hey, why do you take deposit during check in?.. 5. About deposit. In a luxury hotel I've been asked to refill the deposit. 6. Restaurant refuses to make a reservation for dinner. Literally I've spent half day trying to organize family dinner and everything was confirmed the last minute. Different departments don't really communicate between each other. 7. Broken glass in my gin tonic. Okay, I see that the hotel isn't really friendly but you don't have to kill your own guests. 8. Departure arrangement confirmed multiple times, no problem, car is booked and will be ready. And again, no car at check out time visible. It took 45 minutes to finally get 2 taxis [as we booked a family car due to luggage] and made it 10 min before closing time to the airport. Thanks for the double taxi cost then. After speaking with the Front desk and Guest relations Manger a few times, it was pretty clear to me why wrong here. The Hotel is set up as an "all inclusive" system which obviously doesn't know how to deal with Individual guests. Sorry my mistake as I didn't read all information. Just expected a price/value service. On a positive note, breakfast and dinner offering was great. So if you're looking to eat your money's worth, enjoy. Read less

Great from start to finish for all age groups. Wonderful for kids, lovely kids club. Under 4s can attend with an adult and the very friendly staff sought us out to join them for kite flying. For those staying more than 3 nights the a la carte restaurants are also included. The standard was exceptionally high. Can't wait to return.

Great resort, great service and food, really nothing to complain about! Thanks Jaundri for making our diners at the L’olivo so nice. Thanks Romell for your outstanding kindness and service. In addition, the (warmed) swimming pool a lovely and secure place thanks to very good lifeguards. Love to go back again.
