We had heard so much about this grand property and the aquarium that we were excited like kids to visit it.We reached there around 1 pm.There were lots of check ins happening simultaneously and the reception was busy as ever. After some wait,we were checked in,but were told that the room will be ready only at 3 pm.They kept our luggage in luggage room. We were carrying some fruits and food wirh us in a see thru bag, which they flatly and rudely denied to keep with them.We were shocked not at the refusal but at the way they did it.Person at the luggage counter denied to let us go in the luggage room to find some items which we needed. The way he spoke to us,it sent shivers down my spine. In all our travels,we were never made to feel scared like this. The entire reception area had no one whom we could speak to about how and where should we spend the two hours. We were given the room finally at 3 pm and we could visit the water park only at after that. The park itself and the aquarium are good. Also the facilities. But every time we wanted to have meals, visit the park, aquarium,we had to go all the way from west to east tower. We wanted to have dinner in labenese restaurant, but we were not informed that prebooking needs to be done for a la carte.Saffron was too crowded, about 20 mins wait.So we had dinner in kaleidoscope, which was good. As someone has pointed,it is difficult for the vegetarians to handle the smell and sight of meat all around. The good things are the property itself, the ocean view from my room was great. Read less

Spent there 1 week with my family including 2 kids during december. The facility is fantastic, there are plenty of restaurants on site that serve first class dishes. Particularly if one got kids it is much more convenient having dinner at the hotel instead of eating outside (e.g., JBR or La Mer). The aquarium was a highlight for our daughter every time we passed it. The beach / resort area is also very nice, there are enough sunbeds for everyone, two pools (one activity pool) ensure the younger ones much fun. The entire area is very clean, the personell is exceptionally kind. Excellent Service in the Imperial Club Lounge. We also used unlimited access to the Aquaventure Water Park, which was terrific. Altogether a perfect destination for an unforgettable family vacation. Read less

Nicer environment to eat & drink. Avoid queues for breakfast, because of long queues at other venues. Get complimentary mid afternoon snacks. Complimentary drinks & snacks early evening. Well well worth it.
