The communication of whomever is in charge of booking for their Beach Club is a joke. Spoke to a representative yesterday about booking and was told to call back and confirm my number. Multiple attempts made to call and confirm booking but no one answered. Called first thing this morning, told there is space but that I have too many people in my booking to book at one time. I state willing to make smaller bookings as its a celebration but whoever spoke on the phone could not help me. I had to wait three hours until the manager arrived to tell me his employee lied as there was no space available. Also told me they cant cater to bookings due to walk ins- yet the site advertises to make bookings in advance? Don't bother trying to make any plans at this venue as you will be disappointed. Please improve your booking system for your "ladies day" because I was passed around, lied to, and then waited three hours for someone to tell me it was "full" but yet they have to keep space open for "walk-ins". Recommend changing the false advice for advance bookings on your website as well. Read less

After being in the house for weeks on end, I was searching for a beach hotel to take my children to. My husband had to work so I braved the trip with my four year old son and one year old daughter. The hotel is quite big and offers all the conveniences you would expect in a resort. It is a bit older and you can tell in the surrounding property. The pavement is peeling and a couple of areas could use a fresh coat of paint. Despite the age, it was very clean. Upon arrival I was told that I would be placed in a smoking room rather than a non smoking one as I requested. Of course, I argued and tried to reason but I was told that the rooms were full because it was Eid holiday. Instead, they had disinfected my room twice to ensure there was no smokey smell. While there was no smoke in the room, my children and I could smell it as we came to and from the room. I was highly disappointed about that. It was a standard room and I did not realize that it was two levels up and there was no elevators. Each time we left and returned I had to carry my daughter, the stroller, and our bags up and down the stairs. It was extremely exhausting. Had I known this in advance, I would have ensured that my room was located on the first floor. It was also a ways (with children from the beach). The beach was lovely. Despite the holiday, it was not too busy and we spent the whole afternoon at the beach. Afterwards we went to dine in at the only restaurant open during this time - Olive. I requested a menu and the manager told me that it was the a la Carte menu, I confirmed that it was fine and that I would pay directly. As far as I knew, my stay only included breakfast. I was prepared to order a pasta when one of the servers checked my room number and said that I had a half board package (yay! Maybe a surprise from my husband?). I asked her if it included my son as well and she said yes. My kids are extremely picky eaters and one pasta for all of us would have been sufficient. However, with the package, I ordered him his own meal. The next day we went down to the restaurant as breakfast was noted to start at 7:30. We were there at 7:15. I was told by the server that the restaurant times had changed and it would open at 8. I was given no notice, it was too hot to wait, I had very hungry children, and I had lugged all of our things down the stairs- hoping to go directly to the beach right after. We went to the room and ordered breakfast through room service. The meal was so bad, the children didn’t even eat the croissants. I had to call twice to receive water. Upon check out I was given a bill for 2 adult half board packages. I explained that I did not order that and I was told that it was in my package. The food and beverage director, who was serving as the manager for the day, explained to me that he knew it was not my fault but that if I did not pay- the staff would have to cover it. I felt awful so I paid it. I was so angry but he told me that we can have lunch before we left (I was still owed one more meal) and he arranged for a buggy to take us to and from the restaurant because it is a long walk. I appreciated his effort. The children left the hotel full and happy. Despite this, I do not think I will stay here again as there are lots of hotels with a beach with better service. Read less

I booked this hotel for myself and my parents for my dads 60th birthday weekend in Dubai back in February 2020. The staff were extremely informative and efficient. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade a VIP package at check-in; I would always say no, but my dad agreed as they were on holidays and it was a treat. We only did it for one day and it was amazing! we had access to a VIP room on the top floor with beautiful views over the JBR and The Palm. The package included breakfast, afternoon tea, and sunset drinks and nibbles. It was excellent value made my parents whole trip. We were given a room on the 3rd floor which I wasn't too happy with but when we saw the room we were delighted. we had a little private patio, and just beyond was an infinity pool. It was a double room but still spacious with an extra bed. The bathroom was divine. I loved the middle eastern decor. We spent one day at the beach which was at the very end of the JBR beside Zero Gravity. It was pure bliss. We were warned about potential noise and given ear plugs but we never heard anything. The hotel knew it was my dads birthday and sent down a cake and even decorated his bed. Such a lovely gesture. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return to this hotel some day.
