Couldn’t fault the room. We had access to the club lounge which was the usual snacks, great breakfast and staff worked very hard to please you. One in particular was a lady that kept my husband and I wine topped up regularly, we had a good chat and she gave us lots of tips on Dubai, pity I forgot her name as she deserves a mention. The guy that checked us in at club level and chased up our room deserves credit also. The hotel itself is stunning, reception beautiful, every member of staff so kind and helpful, rooms cleaned to perfection nothing was too much. The buffet staff fantastic too, breakfast was good, plenty choice. Pool was beautiful also plenty sun beds all around pool area! Nice bars in hotel, great Irish bar. My only fault was the view over an empty building site but can’t have everything 😝 Read less

We arrived for a 6 day stay at Hilton Jumeirah in Dubai. We arrived in the morning around 10am and our room was already ready to check in despite being booked for after 1400 which was very good. The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. The room was located on the first floor (160) with views to the walk. I would have preferred a higher floor and was sceptical about the noise during the night, however we had no problems and the doors were very sound proof. Housekeeping was attentive and cleaning was to a high standard, although I do advise that they renew their towel robes as they are a bit shabby compared to other hotels in the area. The heat was in full force in dubai so the Air con was a plus that it was working well and efficiently. Breakfast is between 0700 and 1100 in the morning and is located in the lobby area. They have an egg station where you can have your choice of breakfast eggs i.e. omelettes, fried or poached and more. Continental cheeses, cold meats, fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurts. A section of indian food and english fry up food. There was no pancake station to my disappointment which Sofitel JBR and Movenpick JBR and the Palm hotels do have. The atmosphere is okay - (preferred breakfast in alternative hotels) The pool is crowded as it is a medium sized pool, so we didn't go in. The beach is a private beach with adequate loungers. Preferred the beach than the pool as pool area became rowdy at times. We ate out for lunch and dinner and the local refineries and this worked well for us. There is a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you for free to and from Dubai and Emirates mall. Ask the reception for a timetable and be outside at least 10 minutes early than the time stated as the bus does come and leave earlier than stated. JBR the walk is a good location with easy access to taxis, shops and food places. You can also access the public beach and kids water play area and playground for those of you with children. I have stayed all over Dubai and if you want to stay in budget but still luxury then the JBR walk is a good location. The palm islands are very far from locality and other attractions, but they are luxurious if you go all inclusive. Thank you to Hilton for your hospitality and making our stay comfortable. Read less

Spent 3 nights at HDJ and I’m really disappointed in so many areas. Lack of available sunloungers around the pool. Pool is too small for size of hotel. The hotel is very tired, bathrooms are very dated and grubby, rusty fittings etc. I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels around Dubai and this is 100% not a 5 star hotel. Lack of free drinking water at the pool. Any 5 star in Dubai I’ve stayed in provides free self service drinking water around the pool areas. The wifi was broken the day I arrived for the afternoon. The water was off for 7 hours on my final day so no showers or tap water all day was a problem. The food was ok but nothing special and breakfast again not what you expect from 5 star. Hilton is just neglecting this property it’s a shame. I won’t be back. There are far better hotels in Dubai for far less money! The Grand Hyatt was £40 per night cheaper than this hotel and was by far better. I actually wanted to check out after the 1st night because I was so annoyed at paying £130 a night for this place!
