We live in Dubai and are regulars here with the family. Excellent beach and pool day. Great service and lots for the kids to do with the water park. Fernandes who works on the beach was great and super helpful and very accommodating. A great day out.

Thanks to all of you for such an amazing stay. We have previously stayed at the Royal Mirage and Atlantis but the Westin was our favourite stay so far. Will definitely be back..!! Read less

Our recent stay at Westin Dubai was a mixed experience, to say the least. While the hotel boasts a luxurious ambience and promising amenities, our check-in process was far from smooth. We found ourselves waiting for over an hour to obtain the keys to our room, which was a disappointing start to our vacation. Upon entering our room, we encountered some minor issues, and despite reaching out to housekeeping, it took an hour for them to respond. The delay in addressing our concerns left us feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. To exacerbate matters, our interaction with the front office duty manager, Tatiana, left much to be desired. After a prolonged discussion, which resulted in her calling our room several times, it became evident that prompt decision-making was not her forte, raising doubts about her suitability to handle guest concerns effectively. We were not annoyed initially, but a conversation with Tatiana left us feeling drained, and question marks started to arise about whether this is Westin Dubai's service standard. Needless to say, these unfortunate incidents marred our initial impressions of Westin Dubai, leaving us annoyed and upset. However, Mr. Karim Aziz, the Director of Guest Relations, resolved our grievances the next day. His professionalism and swift action in offering room upgrades and a complimentary dinner at Mina's Kitchen were commendable gestures that helped alleviate our dissatisfaction. Moreover, Mr. Aziz went above and beyond by extending the hotel's limousine service to the airport, a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. While we have had positive experiences at other Westin properties in various countries, our first encounter with Westin Dubai fell short of our expectations. Nonetheless, Mr Aziz's exemplary customer service efforts were instrumental in salvaging our stay and leaving a more favourable impression of the hotel. **Club Lounge** We looked forward to experiencing the Westin Club Lounge, as we had had good experiences from our previous hotel stays in other Westin properties. The lounge was tastefully decorated with leather chairs and boasted a beautiful view of the beach and the pool. However, we were left disappointed with the food selection served at the lounge. It is nothing like the other Westin properties, where they served varied hot dishes and an array of assorted bread, cheese, and desserts during the happy hour. However, the staff in the club lounge are all friendly and always serve the guests with a smile. Jusi, Thant and the lady bartender (sorry, I forgot her name) always greet us with a smile, ask what drink we want, and give recommendations when asked. The chef, Mr Ankit Singh, was helpful and tried his best to accommodate our request. He is happy to listen to our feedback. While our initial experience was less than satisfactory, Mr. Aziz promptly resolved our issues. During our check-out, we were served by a gentleman, Mr. Arif Al Jasmi (Front Desk Manager), who greeted us warmly and asked how our stay was and if there was anything he could assist us with. These small gestures go a long way, and they exemplify Westin Dubai's commitment to guest satisfaction and may warrant consideration for future stays. ** Warned ** Westin Dubai does not provide toilet amenities for the lower category rooms except for suite categories. This adds to the annoyance as guests were not informed, nor is there any note in the bathroom that toilet amenities will be provided upon request. Some hotels we have stayed in provided this information, which was helpful for the guests. I hope Westin Dubai Management can take this into consideration. Read less

I'm not sure if I am staying at the same hotel as other reviewers. This is not a 5 star hotel. It is old and very tired and the service is poor. They have responded terribly to the storm - only 1 pool open between 2 hotels until just now and everywhere was filthy all day yesterday and is still generally unclean today. with little to no sign of a comprehensive clear up programme. I understand it was an unprecedented event, but a chain like the Westin should have a disaster plan and they clearly didn't. Our room hasn't been cleaned for 2 days now. The water park just partially reopened and it's in a state. I asked to speak to the manager and they wouldn't let me. Cannot recommend and will be seeking compensation for lack of amenities.
