I was recommended this Hotel by a friend that lives in Dubai and has stayed in the Weston a few times. On a whole my experience was a good one. However there a few issues that still need to be fixed. First impressions are key, and when you walk in you do not get the greatest of impressions, this was made clear by the front dress personal letting me know they were renovating the main reception area and this was a temporary set up, it’s not what you expect from a 5* Hotel. I was granted a early check in, however, when I got to the room it wasn’t the same level that I had booked, when I complained they allowed me to stay in the room until my one was ready which was a nice touch as I had a night flight over. The Hotel renovations didn’t impact my holiday all. On the first day by the pool I realised the Adult Only pool my friend had told me about had changed to a “private beach club” and you had to pay an extra free to sit around the pool. At weekends you couldn’t even sit on the grass or beach in that area without a fee. Weekdays you was allowed on the grass and beach without a fee but not the pool. This has been only from 1st September 2021. Bad idea I think, most of the time it was empty lacking atmosphere and playing really loud, bad music at the weekends. Not for me. The rest of the pools were for mainly for family’s, but I found a lovely spot by the Lap pool. Staff here were very friendly and wanted to help and do a great job. They helped me each day sorting a different sun-bed as I’m recovering from a hip operation the normal one’s were to low to get up from. Thanks Mina and the boys for sorting this for me. Saved my embarrassment. Note to the Hotel, the new wooden beds are not as nice or as comfortable as the old rattan beds. The pool waiters were very helpful and friendly but when the hotel got busy at the weekends and they really struggled and I had to wait over an hour for a drink one day. Also hotel doesn’t give free local water around the pool, I’ve stayed at a number of same level of hotels in Dubai and this is a given. You do have free water in room that you can bring down to the pool and the boys will get you a ice bucket. Breakfast at MINA’S kitchen was lovely once again the staff always willing to help if you need anything, Shriya was looking after me most days she always had a smile and remembered what I normally wanted each day. However once again not the staffs fault but the whole restaurant struggled at the end of the week when the hotel seemed to be at full capacity. Tired most of the restaurants as was on a half board package. They are a big plus for the Hotel complex. However you do have to book in advance as most of the places to eat get very busy. Overall there have been some good and bad points, Hotels rooms are lovely and big with a big balcony I had room 336. Bathroom is smaller than is normal for Dubai but still have bath, basin, separate toilet cubicle and Shower. Lots of places to eat and drink, lots of pool areas and water park. However, most of the pools including the lazy river are very deep, which means most families decide to stay around the lap pool as I did. In temperatures as high as 40degrees I like to sit in the pool and read my kindle which I could do in the lap pool but not in the others. The complex isn’t great for people with mobility issues, lots of steps, but they do put on golf buggies to run you around the complex as and when needed. Overall, I would come back to this hotel as it is very central and the F&B offerings are great, but would be good if they were to sort a few off the issues I’ve mentioned. Read less

It's our 3rd stay at the Westin Dubai and counting. We are coming back for the great infrastructure for kids and the super friendly and always helpful staff, notably Bandhu, who is the service wizard at the Westin poolbar, and Surya, who is the most welcoming waiter at the Bounty Beets restaurant you can imagine.

My favorite was the Fish beach Taverna. The service is really great no matter where in the hotel. I would like to thank my friend Anop Singh for the great daily service at the Beach Bar! Hotel building and rooms are also very nice. The ongoing renovation of the lobby (which I been told is done by end of Oct21) didn’t disturb us at all. Greetings from Switzerland! Read less

But we have yet to find the service like the Westin and le meridian. For us with two young children the kids club is a must. The girls run into the club and are greeted by their name with smiles and air hugs! The service from the staff is impeccable and I am more than happy to leave my children with the wonderful staff especially “big Sam” my girls are very very picky but the kids club here, the staff in general make every stay and visit pure bliss. We live here but we are transported into holiday dreamscape when we enter this wonderful space. Highly recommend to anyone but families it’s a must!!! Oh and there’s a water park on site that’s not huge and intimidating but just right. Read less

Loved our recent stay at the Westin Dubai. Great location, hotel, food and drink, Vinay did an excellent job of looking after us around the pool. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
