Stayed for a week half board early March. Suite had everything we could have asked for, with a view of the Palm which was stunning. The beach service was very attentive and we appreciated the free water. We had access to the club lounge which was brilliantly managed by Mark, and we received personal attention from our concierge Prianka and all other club room staff. We tried all the restaurants which were all good but Social was the highlight with amazing service by Faith. We had one issue during our stay, which Mark in the club room went above and beyond to resolve. We have already recommended the Waldorf to friends who are visiting later this month. Read less

We have just returned from our fourth visit to this lovely hotel, where we spent a relaxing week in the sun. From the (very) early check in the experience was just as we remembered, the hotel is light and airy and sophisticated, the staff are polite, charming and helpful and always go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met. The food in all outlets is of a very high standard, we ate in Lao on the recommendation of our dear friend Mercy from Peacock Alley, who said it was her favourite restaurant, and were glad we gave it another try, the food and service were great, and a bonus to have a half board menu option! We also ate again in Social by Heinz Beck, which was amazing, we have visited here four times now, and the concept still wows us! The fagotelli is my absolute favourite, and the service this time round was especially good! The rooms are well appointed, however, a small gripe in that some of them (I mentioned this last year, too) are looking a little tired, the marble in the bathrooms is stained, there are some knocks and scratches on the furniture, and curtain hooks missing, although none of this really impacts on your holiday. Also we noticed the blanket box from the bottom of the bed had been removed? Particularly useful when packing and unpacking! The rooms are well maintained during your stay by the excellent housekeeping staff who always do a great job supplying abundant clean towels and linen! The pool areas and beach are always spotless, some sun beds and parasols look a little tatty now, and the jacuzzi is still only working sporadically! Pool and beach service was better this year, though! We decided to upgrade to the Club Lounge halfway through our stay, which was wonderful! Mark and Emma treated us extremely well, and the view from the fifth floor is stunning! It was a real bonus for us to enjoy drinks before dinner, and the food , whilst limited, is always really nice! Each lunchtime there is a soup, and fresh breads and cheeses, as well as soft drinks, or tea and coffee, then afternoon tea is available, if you have room before cocktails and then dinner! The whole experience was outstanding, and we would definitely book this option again! Final thanks to our favourite members of staff, Mercy, who is a true asset to the hotel, always smiling, we met four years ago on our first visit, and she is the first person we look for when we arrive, it wouldn’t be the same without her! Thanks also to the lovely Kris in Serafina, who provided us with lovely cocktails during happy hour, before we absconded to the Club Lounge, and to Esther and the team in Mezzerie, for always looking after us, and giving us a lovely table in the sunshine! All the staff are great, but these always stand out for us and help to make our holiday special! We will be back next year if not sooner! Read less

I can thoroughly recommend the 5th floor lounge, with afternoon tea and cocktail hour. Emma who worked in Lounge went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. We were also pleased to see Rajith, who we have known since our visit in 2016. He is a great ambassador for the Waldorf hotel, putting guests at the forefront of his service. Our rooms were of a high standard as always, and immaculately clean. Our room service attendant and cleaner Amer was brilliant, attending to our every need and making animals out of towels for my 2 year old nephew. Great service from all the staff and a brilliant hotel with great facilities. Read less

Nothing was ever too much trouble and the room was beautiful and kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning soon and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again . Read less
