First time in Dubai.. took a long time choosing which hotel to stay at and finally chose the Waldorf cause the pictures looked nice and plush and we were not disappointed. Stayed here this week for a couples holiday. It’s Ramadan so very quiet just what we wanted. The hotel was flawless the service was great and the staff amazing. We booked the Pearl premier Club room and then decided we would upgraded to the premier suite (tbh it was double the size but well worth it). With the club rooms you have all the benefits of the club lounge(I tend to book this type of room wherever I go now as it is so worth it). The room was very clean with an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab which could be enjoyed on the very large balcony. We ordered an extra lounger as there was only one, which they bought straight away. The bed was a super king, there was 2 separate toilets, and large bath with TV and you could fit 10 people easily in the walk in shower. The lounge has a double sofa, desk coffee table and fridge. We asked them to empty the fridge so we could put our own stuff in and they were ok with that. We had unlimited soft drinks throughout the day from the club lounge and the hotel provided free water in the room, by the pool and on the beach. The breakfast was full buffet in the club lounge (but still more choice in the mezz if needed). Afternoon tea was ok (little sandwiches and cakes) The cocktail hour is a must, good classic cocktails and drinks and of course they’re happy to make any special requests. Massive shout out to the Club room staff: Priyanka, Dadang and Mark who made us feel very special and welcomed! Their service was impeccable! The food in the Mezz was so good we didn’t even change to one of the other restaurants. Such a wide variety of fresh food and desserts. Also a big shout out to Elena in the Mezz, thanks for your great care and attention to us. The whole staff made us feel like royalty and it wasn’t just us you could see that this was just how good they were and that they enjoyed what they did. We went for the 90 minute massage which was nice but because the facilities are separate we didn’t make use of the jacuzzi, Sauna or steam room cause we just wanted to be together. The beach was a little Shelly for me so kept my flip flops on, there are 2 pools both very nice, the only thing I would have liked was some music around the pool (so I bought my own). They should also consider doing a pool party on the weekends. Like I said it was very quiet partly due to Ramadan and also out of school holidays but this was just what we wanted, so no complaints. The service around the pool and on the beach was also a great standard and no one looks for tips so you don’t feel obliged to but are so pleased with the service it wouldn’t be right not to. What else can I say... it was amazing exceeded expectations and we would defo come back cause the staff made that extra difference. Read less

Allow 130 dirham for the airport taxi as the Waldorf is on the top right branch of the Palm and 100 for return taxi. It is the most peaceful hotel in Dubai that we have stayed at to date which suited us-no noisy jet skiers hurtling back and forth like some other hotels-so this is not the hotel for those looking for a lively nightlife. Three employees stood out, going beyond their job expectations...Head Chef Sandro made a special dish for us one night when he saw that we couldn't find what we were looking for, the omelette chef Earn took pride in the omelette he made me each morning with good humour and the 6am-12noon pool man at the adult pool was personable and remembered us each morning making sure we were happy. The gym is very well stocked, the beauticians very friendly and reasonable prices. Afternoon tea is impressive at £20 a head too. I have given it 4 stars due to the electronic privacy blind in the bathroom falling completely out of the ceiling and into the bath when it turned it on. It still upsets me now that I could have been in a bath of water when I pressed the button and been electricuted. We had just paid an extra £500 on arrival after 1am to upgrade to level 5 hospitality room and it happened at 2am so in the morning at 7am after explaining the shock of the blind we cancelled our room upgrade and moved back to a level 3 deluxe room we had initially booked. The blind mechanism had been taped back up from a previous repair job so ot was an accident waiting to happen. Surprised not to receive a visit from management at any point during our stay so the male receptionist who actioned my room cancellation must have just quietly notified maintenance once we vacated the room. It was our wedding anniversary and we mentioned it to 2 staff members during the week when asked why we were visiting Dubai and again no recognition. We had a nice and restful stay but we won't be returning to the Waldorf. Read less

I spent three nights at this hotel back in July 2018 and it was such a great experience that I still want to write a review even after all of this time. The hotel facilities are breathtaking and our room was immaculate. Very comfortable and never heard any noise while in our room. We got upgraded to a suite facing the water and it was a beautiful view. The staff attention is above and beyond! The best service I have ever had. We still mention the gentleman that cleaned our room, Bipin, on a regular basis. Whenever we get less than stellar service in another hotel we always says "I wish Bipin was here"! There were a lot of LED-type lights in the room that were bright when we were trying to sleep. We mentioned it one time and when we came back to the room all of the switches were covered up with tape and they went out of their way to find an eye mask for my husband. The pool area was very relaxing and the poolside service was excellent. We ate at the buffet in the mornings and the food was great, but our favorite meal was the Asian restaurant. Every bite was delicious. We also got a couples massage at the spa and it was wonderful. Everything about this hotel was very relaxing and we only left the hotel one time during our stay. My only advice for future travelers would be to purchase alcohol before you leave the airport. Alcohol in Dubai is very expensive so that is the only thing I would have done differently. We are hoping to return in December for our honeymoon! Read less

Well what a hotel, it was everything that we wanted and more. The check in was welcoming and friendly, the assistance from the car was instant and helped to the room with the cases. The rooms are stunning, we had a king superior room and it was spacious, tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could need for a perfect stay. The house keeping staff again added the extra special touches with a different animal and note every evening, the turn down service which is a little bit more than that of anything we have had before rose petals on the bed, slippers at the bedside fresh towels etc made for a perfect experience. The main pool was fairly busy and as we were childless we steered clear however the pool to the side was peaceful and calm with comfortable sun loungers, the beach was clean and we were looked after by the hotel staff well, one slight criticism you had to go to them for drinks etc as they didn’t seem to have time to get round...... Breakfast was plentiful with lots of different selections and staff couldn’t do enough for you. If you are a fan of the palm I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation, for us we found it a little out the way which added to our large taxi bill at the end of the five days. One tip use the local taxis or Uber as the ones at the hotel although a set price can be up to 50% more expensive although friendly. Read less
