I have to make a special mention of all the Pearl Club team, but especially Mark, Emma, Mercy, Arnie, Sagar, Cleopatra and Prince. The house keeping team were brilliant, as usual, but particular thanks go to Amer for all his working in keeping our room spotless and to Krishna for his dedication and invaluable help when moving rooms. In addition the pool team at the Adults pool also kept up the standards. The staff should receive a big round of applause as in all areas, nothing was too much trouble. As our principle contact Mark should be congratulated on his skills in customer service. He is simply "The Magician"! We will be back - again! Read less

Just returned from an amazing family holiday at the Waldorf Astoria, travelling with a baby and toddler. The experience was amazing! We decided to upgrade to the Pearl Club, which provides a first class experience, well worth the extra cost. We had access to a lounge with amazing views over the sea and Palm, with delicious food and drinks available throughout the day. We also had unlimited drinks each evening in the beautiful surroundings of Peacock Alley. The standout experience though was the staff who were truly exceptional and took customer service to new levels! We celebrated our anniversary while we were away and on the day were surprised by balloons, petals on the bed and bath, flowers and fruit. They also noticed I had a recent birthday (from my passport when checking in) and surprised us again with a cake! On our last day further surprises included lovely presents for the kids and another cake! The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the pools are warm (even in January) and the Spa is sensational. Everyone we met was fantastic with the children. I don't think customer service like this exists anywhere in the UK. Special mention to Emma, Cleo, Prince, Mercy, Arnie and Sagar in the Pearl Club (and chef), to Anas in the restaurant, and to the staff at Palm Avenue and Peacock Alley (Deniese, Sakina and Mariia). We previously stayed at Fairmont, the Palm but much preferred the Waldorf experience and hope to return in the near future! Read less

The Waldorf, it exceeded every expectation and is without any doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. As a frequent business traveller and now having travelled to a number of countries for leisure, including Dubai on a previous occasion, our experience at the Waldorf was just truly amazing. Every member of staff, from the front desk to house keeping and maintenance were just so passionate and proud to be working there. I have never had so many hotel staff members smile and ask how my day is going, or if there's anything else I need. I could start naming individuals who have been exceptional but that would be unfair on those whose names I can't remember. Everyone was fantastic and in future should we have the opportunity to visit Dubai again, we would definitely have Waldorf as our first choice. Please send my thanks and best wishes to the entire team. Read less

I enjoyed the afternoon tea and the food at the breakfast and lunch buffet was excellent. Most of all the service was top notch in every aspect, from cleaning my room to all the staff in the hotel. My only slight downside was the food quality in the Italian restaurant, not sure it lived up to its billing, plus the food and drink is pricey, but you know that when you come here. It didn't detract from the overall experience, so thanks to all the staff who helped me one way or another. Read less

We arrived at the Waldorf in the 22nd December, Boxing Day and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Xmas. Huge attractions and developments are ongoing to make Dubai and even better holiday destination ,the Global Village is a must see attraction. We arrived on the 26th, Boxing Day and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Xmas. The Cocktail Party in the Presidential Suite was amazing. Once again the staff make every event special. The New Years entertainment was a bit of a let down but the hotel was decorated in a Circus theme and looked spectacular. We saw the New Year in on the beach with awesome firework displays all over Dubai. David Wilson, the hotel manager and his staff supplying us with champagne to toast the New Year. The hotel has a children's play club and our two Grand daughters spent an enjoyable time with the staff. The hotel itself is very well appointed, which you would expect from a 5 star accommodation. We had a Delux Room facing The Palm and upgraded to the Premier Lounge. Was it worth the extra cost? Yes in every way! Whilst everyone will not opt for this option we can only judge on the package we chose. The Mezzerie restaurant is available to all guests and can get quite busy as this is where most families chose to eat. A good choice of food and this is a buffet restaurant. The Lao restaurant is a Vietnamese restaurant and the food second to none. The Social restaurant is an Italian restaurant and again the standard of food is very high. The Palm restaurant is around the pool area and we did not get the chance to eat there; Any negatives that can be found in any of these restaurants is they can be quite expensive, so watch the menu and order accordingly. The rooms, communal areas and facilities anywhere in the hotel are of a very high standard. The crowning glory of this hotel is the staff and their willingness to go over and beyond their duties, Special mention to Emma and Mark in the Premier Lounge who made our stay very special. Many thanks to David Wilson the hotel manager he does an excellent job of running this hotel. We will be returning Xmas 2020. Read less
