The hotel caters mostly to groups. We were part of a large group that was there for about 1 week. Since we are married, we expected a bed for two, Twin beds were provided, so we inquired about changing. They pushed the bed together with a king mattress over the top. That made the center where the frames met uncomfortable. It also took 2 requests to get that done. The cleaning service was not attentive. Hotels usually change out dirty glass cups, but not this one. You have to wash them yourself. Washcloths were there on the first day, but nothing after that. I had to use google translator to get some, but that only lasted one day. Then nothing. The dinning room was good with an expanse of varried selections. Other hotels we stayed in while traveling in Israel had better quality. Be careful of the hot water and requlating the shower temp. The 8th floor pool was wonderful, and the 7th floor sun deck was also a treat with comfortable chairs and hammocks. Read less

Good service in the hotel. Good location...in prestigious area and near the walled city. Very accessible. We stayed in the hotel to do a pilgrimage. We just walked from the hotel to the walled city. Near shopping areas too. Look for Waleed anytime.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for a week during our stay in Jerusalem. The service was great, the staff was friendly, and the hotel is centrally located allowing us to walk to the Old City in about 15 minutes. We rented a car and chose to drive from the Tel Aviv airport. We found the hotel without issue and there is free parking. The hotel also has currency exchange services which was very helpful. We booked two separate rooms, the Family Room and the Jerusalem Room. Both appeared to be about the same size but the Family Room did have a pull out sofa for the third guest. The rooms were cleaned daily upon request and restocked with towels and bath products. The Jerusalem Post was delivered daily as well. Our reservation included breakfast. This was served daily from 6:30am until 10:30am. It was buffet style and had a large assortment of options. There was a cold salad bar, hot food items, egg and pancake station (made to order), and breads and pastries. The dining room is very big so finding a seat was never a problem. They also had food on both sides of the dining room. Great breakfast! Keep in mind if you are arriving Friday evening during Shabbat, breakfast will be limited on Saturday morning. There are still plenty of options but there was no egg/pancake station. We paid for the buffet dinner one night, as that was not included in our reservation. This was similar to breakfast in the amount of food options, though a little pricey. They also have a menu for the small bar restaurant in the evening which was a little underwhelming. The hotel is also located close to Jaffa Gate, about a 15 minute walk. There are several restaurants within walking distance and you can walk through Mamilla Mall to get to the Old City. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Jerusalem. It was reasonably priced and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will stay here again on any future trips to Jerusalem. Read less

The Dan Panorama is centrally located and we were able to walk to the Old City, to great neighborhoods and easily catch cabs. Our “deluxe plus room” was comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of room to stretch out (nice couch, desk, etc) with a super comfy bed with lots of pillows. The bathroom had a nice shower and bathtub combo. The sink had a wide vanity (plenty of room for both my husband and my toiletries), and the toiletries were lovely, smelling very nice. Little gifts for being Dan Club members were appreciated. Breakfast was quite a disappointment. We were lucky to hit the large breakfast room during a quiet time, yet every time we wanted a cup of coffee, we had to get up and flag down one of the many wait staff in the room. The entire row of dishes hot foods were missing serving utensils. The nice cheeses had dull table knives with them, so you pretty much had to destroy the cheese to get a piece of cheese. The cook at the egg station needs practice and lessons cooking eggs. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. While it took 2 calls, they loaned my the correct US to Israeli outlet converter. Which was very appreciated. Nice hotel and I would stay there again, but hope they work to improve the food service and staff. We had a relaxing stay. Read less
