Where is it

Overlooking and a short stroll to the Old City, the main historical sites are within walking distance. Mamilla Mall is also a short walk away (the only open-air mall in Jerusalem). Transfer time from Ben Gurion Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Superior Family Rooms are larger at 430 sq ft, with a large sitting area and 1 king-size bed or twin beds and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Alcove Deluxe Rooms are 430 sq ft and have a private balcony with Old City views, with a large sitting area and 1 king-size bed or twin beds and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Junior Suites are 506 sq ft and feature a private terrace with Old City views, a large sitting area and marble bathroom, with 1 king-size bed or twin beds and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

We had an amazing experience once again at the David Citadel. Baha and his team were extremely attentive and anticipated our every need without fail. The food was fantastic and the staff was plentiful and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was there to replenish our water bottles and towels without having to even ask. The views of the old city from our room were breathtaking. The gym has everything you need no matter what type of workout you prefer. The pool was refreshing and perfect for doing laps. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Israel which will hopefully be very soon. It was another amazing experience in Jerusalem at the David citadel. Read less

have not stayed here in over 15 years but the hotel has been upgraded, refreshed. breakfast buffet was plentiful & interesting. overall hotel service was excellent. my room, alcove deluxe old city, was well appointed, clean & modern. housekeeping staff was efficient & there early every single morning. i wud like to single out Yael Kofman, in the… Read more

You know … it’s not a bad hotel. Maybe years ago it was great hotel. But now, it feels dated, dark and dingy with scuff marks and flaking paint in the rooms. Menus and information on the desk are worn and torn. Toiletries kinda basic. Surly front desk staff. Uninspired staff otherwise. Maybe it’s the times. Breakfast buffet just ok. Executive… Read more

Executive lounge a major disappointment with no service and limited, uninspired food items. Restaurant nice view but again, not exceptional. They need a major renovation, better trained staff, better food, totally revamp the executive lounge. Seems like there is space in the market for competition. Until then why should they bother? The Shabbos meal had such poor service we had to place our fish plates and utensils on the carpeted floor in the main dining room. One family member had a cane and waved it frantically to attract a waiter without success. Our nearest table saw our predicament and several diners left to find us a waiter without success. After our “visit” the hotel offered us a discount to stay again!!!! (Perverse logic) Yazan Atrash Custoner Service apparently has a full time job placating disgruntled customers as promises exceed capacity at this property. And offering us a 50% discount on a future visit. The family occasion was a milestone birthday. We always try to see the other side in any issue but our complaint actually resulted in the property trying to charge us for Shabbos lunch which we were told was included in the original package purchased by our daughter who bought for us as a present. (Age 20) I sent these specifically to the parent company Set and am waiting for a reply. In the meantime I don’t think we are alone and we are building a website for each guest to document their very very terribly expensive visit to a location who only looks to their bottom line. This hotel is wonderful in every respect. Service is excellent. They did their best to make well placed calls to El Al to help get my luggage bag when El Al chose not to put it on my connecting flight. Ata , a waiter knew what we wanted to drink after our first morning and brought our drinks as soon as he saw us. Breakfast food was varied and enjoyable. Shabbos meals were delicious! He helped however he could bringing whatever we wanted, always with a smile. The room was kept clean, with only minimal, infrequent issues. The bed was comfortable as could be. This hotel is my new favorite in Yerushalayim. Location can not be beat! Read less
