Dan Panorama Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv, Israel

The hotel

The setting of this hotel is quite something. You'll be just steps from Tel Aviv's lively beachfront and a stroll to Jaffa Old City and the hip-and-happening Port. Check out the sights and smells of the vibrant Carmel Market and perhaps haggle for spices and local treats. It's not all about the location though. Little ones will love it at Dan Panorama — as well as making sandcastles, they can splash around in one of the largest pools in Tel Aviv and have fun in the kids’ club. And while they’re playing, you can head to the spa for some well-deserved me time.

The rooms are well equipped but are on the smaller size. The rooms are clean and come equipped with all the standard items. There is a bar in the hotel. The hotel is across from the beach and is within walking distance of shops.

Stayed 4 nights in Tel Aviv. Hotel has wonderful rooms, very good food and terrific service. Food was very good, and many varied choices at a well prepared breakfast. Location is incredible, walking distance to city centeR and Old Jaffa.

Had a room on the 14th floor so had lovely sea view. The buffet dinner was the best ever. If one thing would make me return it would be the food. Very good position near Jaffa and Tel Aviv old town which was a short walk away

This hotel is allocated 5 stars BUT it does not deserve more than three. While the seaside location is good for visiting Tel Aviv and the “hardware” is good the management and customer service are very disappointing. Our reception was rather unsmiling and low on English comprehension. The first problem was the allocation of a room that contradicted my confirmed reservation! I had requested twin beds, there was a double. I had asked for a sea view, we overlooked the city behind. It took reception some time to seek out another room but eventually we were moved to a smaller one which at the very least had both my requirements. While the beds were very comfortable my in-room-dining breakfast card had not been collected the following morning and this only was discovered by us beyond the time that we had asked for delivery. A glass coffee table was very unstable and despite my comment on this it was not replaced as promised. The lighting system was confusing and we should have been given some guidance on a particular switch that needed permanently to be on in order for parts of the circuitry to work. The aircon was very efficient which was necessary in the high heat and humidity of the external atmosphere. The flush mechanism of the toilet was extremely difficult to push and often failed. The minibar was totally empty! The room info stated that “there was a minibar in every room”! The hotel could not provide prosecco and only had cava in large bottles, not by the glass. They HAD NO CHAMPAGNE!!! One good thing – the bar served light lunches and I ate the most wonderful healthy salad I ever have had – see photo. This hotel is so Israel oriented that over the festival of Sukkot any non-Jew finds little in the way of suitable dining at suitable times. Read less
