Don’t even think of booking a different hotel. This will be the only one I use in Long Beach. Best staff around. Outstanding in every aspect. From the valet to the front desk to the room, everything was exceptional.

Stayed here the night before our cruise out of San Pedro. Location is fantastic as there are about 14 restaurants within .4 miles of the hotel. Walking distance to everything. Valet parking is $35 (ouch) but you have in and out privileges OR you can self park for $16, bit you have to pay each time you leave. Read less

This was a perfect location for my wife and I to spend a day and evening in Long Beach. I wanted to attend a fishing show at the convention center and she wanted to go to the Aquarium! This was a perfect location for my wife and I to spend a day and evening in Long Beach. I wanted to attend a fishing show at the convention center and she wanted to go to the Aquarium! Both short, easy, convenient walks. We arrived early ( before noon) but the staff had our room ready which made everything else so easy. The front desk staff was always pleasant and helpful. No exceptions. The bar staff was the same. They went out of their way to get me a non alcoholic beer while my wife sipped on her Pinot Grigio . The room was very nicely furnished and roomy. Great bathroom and walk-in shower. Nice TV, bed etc. no complaints. We will return here as I rate it a 5 out of 5 on my personal scale. For runners, just take the walkway across Shoreline and head East. You’ll eventually find the bike path toward the Belmont Pier about 6 1/3 miles round trip but you can go longer if you choose. Let me say, though, that I got this on Hotwire so the pricing was an unbelievable deal. Still, regular rates were higher but I’d still stay here. Read less

There were construction, but I didn't hear it. I slept like an old man. The staff at the first desk were fantastic! Even the housekeeper--fantastic! I wish that I had money and that this wasn't a government travel, I would have tipped more if I were on a personal trip. Sorry. But next time that I'm there, double tip!

This was my 21st stay at this hotel. I have ways loved it but will not be back. First they have removed the work area for those that are traveling on business and replaced it with a TV tray and a very small, useless nightstand table. Now let talk about the TV. It doesn't face the sofa or the bed. To watch it you have to extend the wall bracket to face the sofa or bed. This is very difficult and putting in different positions is royal pain. Next they have a very nice large shower and used to have teak benches you could sit on to wash your feet and legs. Same good shower but they removed the great benches. Want room service? Well they don't have any indication or menu in the rooms, they still offer it but you have to call the front desk to get any information... what a pain, give me a menu and make my life easy. Also don't call it "room service" if you do a rather curt person is tell you " do you mean in room dinning" come on. I don't know what got into the managmnet team just go a block away to the Hyatt Regency. This place if off my favorite list. Read less
